Tyler;
Je t’accuse
It’s ALL your fault.
I was a simple mid-fifties unencumbered bachelor when I first posted on SBG. I got nice responses especially from one slyette Bella. We started an email correspondence which quickly got honest and intimate. I thought I was doing a good deed by raising funds and getting my head shaved at “Cops for Cancer” and pretty soon things got even more honest and intimate. Bella and I met in “real” life and actually fell in love and before long we mutually proposed and are actually going to get MARRIED!
It’s ALL your fault.
So now, I’m out the cost of a sapphire and diamond ring, I’m acting and feeling like a goofy teenager (I didn’t do THAT when I WAS a teenager), my unassailable bachelorhood is soon going to go up in smoke and I couldn’t be happier about the whole situation.
It’s ALL your fault; thank you for creating SBG and bringing us together but it is ALL your fault.

Congratulations! The internet works in mysterious ways in bringing people together––I'm gladdened that you two have found a mutual (and fast) attraction! I hope it turns into a lasting love.

This is definitely one for the books. This is the first case of love on the sly. Im really happy for the both of you. I wonder how the wedding ceremony will look like...both bride and groom beaming with bald pride in a room full of gleaming bald heads. :)
-
Wow!!! That is great news. Congrats! So. . . will you be living in Canada or the ole USA?
WARHAWK O0

Awesome! That's love for ya!
-
kalbo -- we toyed w/ the idea of only inviting people who agreed to shave their heads for admission (jokingly) but ultimately decided our slogan instead would be "I do. Me too. So let's party."
Warhawk -- Mr. TV is such a guy that this dyed-in-the-wool Manhattanite is agreeing to permanently relocate to a suburban/rural part of Canada! Toronto is a stone's throw (stone = <1hr) away, though, and Michigan (where my family is) and New York (my adopted "home"/place where a lot of my work is based) are within driving distance if you like long car rides, so I likely won't die ;D
In fact all of the craziness of falling in love, planning a wedding, relocating across an international border with all the lurvely paperwork that comes with it, plus occasionally earning a living/paying bills etc., explain why I've not been on the forum much at all lately. All his fault :)
-
Congratulations !!
-
That's cool!! Congrats to you both!!
-
Congrats guys! Good luck to both of you. Keep us posted on the nuptials.

Congratulations, and when do we get to see the wedding pictures? Remember, pictures or it didn't happen :)

I've always grouped you two in my head as similar people. Glad to see things worked out!

Some news on our front:
I've been living here in Ontario more or less full time for a few months, though I maintain a residence in the US for a bevy of reasons. This week we're going to collect most of my goods from my apartment in Michigan to bring them up to Canada, and in the coming months we're planning to empty out my storage units in Manhattan and truck it all to Toronto(ish). This is for real, y'all.
I've got major culture shock but I'm dealing with it. Before NYC and Providence I lived in metro Detroit where if you don't have a car, you ain't goin nowhere. At least it's pretty here. And we have internet, so I can telecommute.
The process has been very INTERESTING for us, to say the least, but we're still committed to getting married, working together, having babies etc. The bumps in the road only prove how committed we are to one another; truly it was a really deep match in that we both knew early on this was THE ONE.
I cannot stress enough how great a guy must be to get me to leave my beloved city and live in a place where you legitimately buy bales of hay (for some reason to preserve the garden) (to be fair enough, we are less than an hour from Toronto proper so I'm not dying). Thank you, Tyler/SBG :)
I am rocking a pixie cut, which is super cute, and TV guy remains his handsome shaved self.
Wedding isn't until October but we will of course post some pics, after all, if it weren't for this site, we'd never have met!

Brampton, perhaps? We have friends who live there.
