Had my first accident a month in and cut myself this morning pretty good. Happy 30 days to me! Feeling bummed about not shaving tomorrow, question I have is how long do you guys wait before shaving your head again after a decent size cut. Anything I can do to speed up healing? I didn't use the head clear today out of fear lol, was that a mistake? The cut is by my ear in the back so not an easy place to see to just shave around unfortunately

First, congrats on the 30 days! Second, don't beat yourself up too hard, even us veteran shavers still nick ourselves. In most cases, scalp cuts actually heal faster than cuts on most other parts of the body. On average, I would say you should be good to go in 48 hours. Of course, you could just pass clippers over the cut if you don't want to wait that long. I don't think the clear head would have made a difference, but it couldn't have hurt. Welcome to the world of "I just can't get behind my dam ears no matter how hard I try!" ;D ;D Hope you recover soon!

Yep, like SirHarry said, the injuries usually heal quickly. My two big cuts I got the first time I shaved were fine within two days. I just did my best to keep the razor away from those areas.

I had a nasty cut on my forehead recently (from head butting a hand dryer). If you have one, what worked well for me was shaving around it and then easing up with an electric shaver next to and over the cut.

Thanks guys I appreciate the input.

If nothing else, just put your finger over the cut and then shave around it. Between the occasional nick and bashing my head on something at work, I do this often.
-
It depends on how quickly you heal, try putting some Neosporin and a bandaid on it for a few days just to be safe. Once healed depending on the growth you may need to take clippers to the dome before bringing the blades out again.

Yes, I'd keep shaving the rest of the head. Had a nick center back a few weeks ago. Just have around it. Give it a few days to heal. then you're back in business.
No need to skip the whole shave just for a nick in one spot.

+1 for the electric. O0
If I do cut myself deep enough for it to be a concern I'll go over the area with my Panasonic Linear and shave the rest of my head with a blade.
P. S.: Another way to look at it is that you're no longer a virgin.

Lol thanks buddha and just like my other first time I would like to forget this one too. It actually healed up quick, did the whole finger over it while shaving tip and didnt miss a beat. Still just going lightly over that area but will try the electric tomorrow and see how the results are. Thanks again for the responses guys

Guess nobody else is gonna ask but my interest is definitely piqued. Why would you head butt a hand
Dryer? :*))

He was angry because he pushed the button, but received no bacon.

Though, I'd have to admit, head-butting was probably a bit extreme.

I'd be upset about not receiving my bacon too! LOL :*))

I'm quite good at not cutting myself. The main thing I can nick, if I am not concentrating is the top of my ear and THAT does not stop bleeding! It's a nightmare!
-
mmmm....bacon!
Don't forget a styptic pencil to help stop the bleeding.
