And what am I supposed to tell my boss when I show up late for work tomorrow morning? :Xo!
man im going to have to try that!
It doesnt hurt the noggin after the first ice cube melts??
Sheesh, I'm trying to take less time not more.
Thanks again Straight razor and yeah RazorX...Just tell him you have to do what it takes to stay as sly as possible. ;D ;D ;D
I tried it today. Can you say "brain freeze"???
Like Mikey from the Life cereal commercials (ok, I'm dating myself), I tried it and liked it! It's easier to take than getting my whole body cold in the shower.
You're an animal Lance! :*))
Hey, Lance, today marks the 3rd day that I've tried the ice. I started noticing yesterday that I think it is helping my skin. I think I'll keep at it for a week. It still feels weird.
Okay, I admit it... I HATE COLD! It took me a few shaves before I could get myself to crank the water to cold and rinse my noggin' and now you say to use ice???
I'm torn between that and hitting my thumb with a hammer! :*))
Gave it a shot Lance and it did seem to reduce the irritation more than just a cold splash. Don't think I will need it this morning though as it is 37 degrees at 7:00 a.m. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrJust stick your head out the door Paul!
Ok, Maybe this post should go under the "Obsessed with My Dome" thread, but I'm sitting here at my desk when I realized that I forgot the ice on my dome this morning after shaving. I wanted to try a full week to see if it really made a difference or not. Then it occurs to me, I'm the only one in the office and there's a refrigerator with ice. Sure am glad nobody walked in at that moment. Sure hope the water on my shirt dries before the rest of the office gets here. Is that obsessed or just weird?
I just tried Ice on the dome. It felt good but after I was done, my Ketel One on the rocks tasted like HeadSlick.
how about some playboy bunny to rub the ice on my head for me. that would work.
Im a bad person, I woke up late for work today so I didnt get to shave the Dome, and I didnt get to try the ice. So here i sit at work with razor in hand and heading for the bathroom.

Afraid wouldn't work for me, I would get so hot that the ice would melt immediately, negating the effect >:D

Ok I think we are all talkin about the wrong head here...I talkin about the ice cube on the head that sits on your shoulders
I keep a wet hand towel in my freezer - then after I shave, I put it over my head and pat it all over - - this lasts for about 5 minutes and the whole head is soothed at once...feels great.

I have also found placing the icecubes in a zip lock baggy...Hey it works so why not. Nothing beats the feeling of the ice onthe DOME!
i put the ice cube on a facecloth so the melted stuff would be soaked up. no mess, no drips. 8)
waitig for the wife to ask why I take icecubes with me to the shower LOL
SlyinKC, I haven't had that problem. I get my ice cubes wet first before rubbing all over. I had this vision of the movie 'A Christmas Story' where the kid gets his tongue stuck to the flag pole and thought about an ice cube stuck to my head and/or ripping skin off my scalp, so I decided it would make sense to have them wet first, as well as my head being wet. I also don't use any pressure when rubbing the dome. By the way, I think I'm getting immune from the shock of the ice; it just doesn't shock me anymore -- anyone else have this happen to you?
This post got my interest finally. Today I tried ice cubes on my head, rubbing it all over. My head hardly felt any cold, while my hand froze. It didn't do anything for me.You're just tough. Well, that and you have probably had a shaved head for a while, so it's more weathered than some of the scalps.
Well, adding the cubes to the twice daily routine. I gotta say, it doesn't FEEL like anything special. I was kinda cold on my head, but my hands really didn't like it at all. It was easier than any other method for chilling my scalp. It SEEMS to have helped my scalp feel extra smooth.
I'll have to wait and see if it helps with any bumps and what-have-you.
