New guy checking in :)
Im in my late twenties and have been struggling with hairloss for 7-8 years. Two years ago I decided not to hide it anymore and went to a hairdresser and cut it all off with an electric clipper leaving only 0.8mm of stubbles. That has been my weekly routine ever since.
Now my horseshoe is getting more and more visible and I am contemplating on going all in and shave the dome 8)
My GF has given me a green light (although I know she is extremely sceptical to the idea). We'll see. Im still on the fence, haha.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thank you for a great forum O0
Best Regards,
Thomas

Thanks for sharing your story.
I am sure you will like the Sly look.

just go all the way - you will like it

The whole routine with clipping and the mess and then it's too long so quickly. Plus you need a bit of excitement, something new to try that will make you feel refreshed and revived
Yes you will do an order online soon....
A package will arrive in the mail and you will feel the excitement as you open it. Your girlfriend will walk in and say "What the heck is that????" "It's called a Headblade ATX" you will say :)

Welcome To SBG.
Why not give it a try. Your hair will grow back if you don't like the look. I did about 7n years ago and have stayed sly ever since. I really like the smooth feeling of a sly bald dome.

Welcome to the group! Hope you enjoy your visits!

Shaved smooth feels much better than clipped -- plus, at .8mm, if you don't like it it'll grow back in what, 3 hours? ;D
If your gf is giving you the green light, why not engage her approval to make the transition easier -- she could very well help w/ the first shave, but even skipping that, applying lotion/aftershave and doing general loving care for a bald head (rubbing, scratching) can be a very solid bonding experience.
And if you hate the smooth, it'll be fuzzy in a day or two. So go for it on a Friday if you're nervous.

Tok the plunge today and shaved it all off! :)
I used a Mühle R41 safety razor armed with Gillette Silver Blue. WTG + ATG. Hard to maintain a proper angle on the back of my head.

welcome, yeah, shaving the head with a se is tricky, blade choice is important, I just tried a different brand and the result wasn't good, using a good shaving cream and applying by brush will improve the quality, dont press, let the razor do the work
