I have been enjoying your site for a month or so and decided to join this morning.  You strike me as being very positive folks who I'd be proud to get to know.


I think I look pretty good with the sly headstyle and am usually extremely buzzed or shaved.  I'm still working up the nerve to start shaving my head myself-- it would be cheaper than going weekly to my friendly barber.  While I have hair, it is moderately thinning and looks better buzzed down or off.

As you can tell from my picture, I'm a volunteer firefighter and medic.  I am also into technical scuba diving.  By day, I'm an IT geek.

Regarding nerve to shave yourself, check out www.headblade.com.
Very easy razor to use (at least that's what I have experienced).

Not only is it cheaper to do it yourself, it is very easy and you will probably do a better job than the barber does.  Most barbers just shave you with the grain using a straight razor.  Looks bald, but does not get you that smooth-as-glass feel you get from shaving against the grain with a good quality safety razor.  Once you start doing that, I guarantee you'll be hooked on the smooth feeling and will shave it daily.

Great look for you KC, you're a natural!

Don't fear the self shave...my suggestion though, give the razor YOU'RE most comfortable with a go, especially the first few times, most around here us headblade, but it sounds too tricky for me, i use the mach3 and am totally slick and happy with the results...

I was clipper shaved in that avatar Stew; however, this past week I have been lather and razor shaving about every other day; no regrets  O0.
