Title: New to the boards
Post by: nobodyinparticular on April 16, 2013, 03:20:08 PM
Hi all, I have been a shaver off and on for the past 3 years. Any time I had a question regarding best techniques, Google would inevitably lead me to this site and I found the insight to be very helpful. I finally decided it would be valuable to join into the conversation.

Forgot the info portion...

I am a sly guy in my twenties. Although by choice. I have had numerous health issues in the past 2 years including kidney cancer that have caused extended stays in the hospital and I have found I feel just a lot better when I don't have to worry about any hair during those times, especially considering those stays often start with a 3-4 day period in which I cannot get out of bed to shower (I know, gross, right?).

The very first time I shaved 3 years ago was when I lost a bet with a church youth group and while I have grown my hair out since then, I always find myself wishing for the great feel of a freshly shaved head.

Welcome!  Thanks for the background, and glad you're embracing what many see as a negative side effect to treatment.

Hi & welcome to the best 'no hair' site on the net. You will find everybody here very supportive & not just on the issue of staying hairless!

Hope things are improving for you in your health situation & continue to do so. Someday, I believe we will manage to have a real & lasting cure barring the miraculous intervention of God (if you believe in Him & hopefully you do) in the fight against cancer. Chin up, mate. You have made a great choice in coming on to this great & very supportive "family" site.

Blessings.
