Well, I admit that this fellow is not that well known. But Zach Bolen is a worship leader at Mars Hill Church here in Seattle. He also leads a rocking worship band called, "Citizens" out of that same church. So because he sports both the Sly dome and a great beard, I thought he was worthy to have his music video posted here. So if you like your Christian music on the rocky side, you will like this video of the new adaptation of a old hymn called, "In Tenderness".

Not my regular cup of tea, but I've been known to enjoy a spot of christian rock from time to time. It's a catchy song though, lyrically it's not my thing, but still a nice song nonetheless.

I lasted about 45 seconds on that video. Long enough to see the bald head and thick beard. That was great.
Music was OK, but the video was giving me motion sickness. jitter, out of focus, fast pans, fast switching from one scene to another. I had to press pause to really see the guys head.
Oh, well. That's the modern style of video. That's why I don't watch modern video and TV. Looks like they were shot without a tripod and by a guy with parkinson's disease.
Sorry. my rant on jerky video. Just can't watch it.

I understand that not all would be into the lyrics or the style! I figured that some may like it and others may not! And while I do like it for both the style and lyrics (plus it is a song we do at my church), I thought he rocked the sly and beard look well!

He has got a good looking dome. The beard is nice and thick bit would look better if he shaved his cheeks a little. I'm not a huge fan of beards that grow that high on the cheeks (like my own does).

I have been keeping my cheeks trimmed, but have wondered if I should let them grow in to see what they would look like. I think this guy's gives me an idea. I'm undecided... and was thinking it had something to do with the thick black frames on his glasses.

Yeah, mine will do that if I let it. I had to keep it trimmed or it would start looking ratty. I personally like a nice defined cheek line. marsh's is perfect.
Thanks for posting the vid, marsh.

Hmmmm, it is weird, but I modified my original post as I had forgotten to put the name of the worship leader on here. But then my YouTube link no longer worked. So I will try to post it again here!

That was fantastic. Thanks for sharing this. I'm stoked to learn about another good church! I really love music (wish I could play... since I can't maybe I appreciate it all the more!), and love finding new (to me) artists whose message glorifies God and is encouraging. Thanks again!

Hey Marsh, thanks for sharing that!

Interesting. I have to check out the song again.
On the bald headed Christian singers, I have to mention of
Stu G, formerly of Delrious. Aside from worship music, they are one of the few artists I have admired for their creativity.
Pete Furler, formerly of the Newsboys. I'll admit their style is not my favorite (even after being replaced with another singer I like,) but his dome was iconic.
On the Spanish side, there's a guy from Florida called Omar Johnson. Awesome.
