Yesterday my wife and I drove 50 miles south of us, to see if we could find some migrated snowy owls that come here during the winter months.
I did find one, and this is all I got with two different camera's set up on tripods. The owl was fine, until it was spooked by another photographer trying to get closer.

Thank you Beardman, I will be back down there on Feb 2 or 3rd bright and early in the morning. I will be using a Canon 70-200mm L series lens with a 2X Teleconverter = 400mm to help with distance. I don't have to be to Missoula until later in the evening.
I will be after so awesome shots of the snowy owls.
