Post by: danyroo on June 06, 2007, 05:33:48 AM
Hey how many shades do you have?
what brand and why?

I have mostly Oakleys.. also my prescription glasses are oakleys. I have a few other brands of shades.
here's a couple of them.

I have 7 pairs of shades, unfortunately none are Oakleys.  While awesome, I am rarely outside without shades on and am the most accident prone guy there is with them and am always losing, crunching, my shades.  Generally have Oakley style knock offs for daily wear and on the motorcycle.  Flight glasses (Cartman shades as schro might say) for driving or for impersonating a state trooper j/k

well my wife works for a optometris. on her way to be a optitien.
so she gets good deals from reps.

otherwise I don't think I would be purchasing 230.00 sunglasses

I have a pair of Oakley blade style (M Frame, circa 2000) that I never plan to part with. They are perfect for golfing or running when I wear my contacts. When I'm not wearing my contacts, I wear these prescription sunglasses shown in my Schrotini shirt pic. I don't know what the brand of the frame is, but they're actually just regular old frames for glasses I had fitted with shaded lenses. I like the look.

I have two pairs of Arnettes, a pair of Ray Ban Aviators, and a pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses.

I really like how the Arnettes look.  I bought the first pair on a whim when I was at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and had forgot my sunglasses.  I recently bought my second pair when I was in Hawaii.

I was given the Ray Ban Aviators.  And I bought the Ralph Lauren because they were around $50 and I thought they would look good when I wore a business attire.

I only wear Oakley's.  I bought my first pair with my high school graduation money and almost ten years later I'm on my third pair.  I think they look good with the bald head, kind of gives Big Jeffrey the tough guy look.  At least until I start laughing at everything. :*))

Polarized makes a huge difference. I've got some cheapies from Sportsmen's Warehouse I paid a whopping $18 for, then a nice pair of yellow shooting glasses from S&W. I also have a pair of mirror tinted safety glasses that our first aid rep gave me. Very nice.

What about those in your pic Pigpen?  Those take the slyness to previously unreached heights.

Let's see...

a pair of Maui Jim's that never leave the car

Oakley's that I wear on weekends or special occasions

2 pair of safety sunglasses. They are ANSI safety glasses but look like Oakley's. I have a pair at the office for kicking around in and another pair that I wear to and from work. Why? Because it doesn't matter if they get scratched or I lose them. They only cost $10.

Those belong to my coworker. When she leaves them sitting out, I put them on and pics magically appear afterwards.

Im rocking a pair of Black Fly's---> Inflynt 2's polarized

Ive had these for a number of years, and they have been through hell and back. I regularly go swimming with them on, play sports, and go to work. Its about time for new pair, but i will hang on to these when i need to be active outdoors and not worry about crushing an expensive pair. This are a bit on the pricey side, but you will definitley get your moneys worth, these are some shades that can withstand a good thrashing O0

I have always worn cheapies!
I either lose them or ruin them in some way!
I have 1 pair in each vehicle! :)

I've had the same pair Randolph Engineering Sunglasses since I was a young LT. in the Marine Corps and that's been over 25 years ago!  The look is timeless but the real value is they are just a great pair of sunglasses.  They are also available with the polarized lenses.

If you remember the movie Top Gun, they were worn exclusively by the pilots.

Since there are so many Oakley fans here, I've added Oakleys to the rotation of the Auction Ads.

2 pair for me: Calvin Klein which I keep in the car & Gucci which I wear if I'm dressed in anything other than shorts & a t-shirt.  My Rx glasses are Oakleys.

I have shades, no specific brand- just bought a nice looking pair at the OC (A mall near me) Will never buy an expensive brand- probably will just get broken. But my pair suits me fine, just take a look at my sweet pic!

I'm a huge fan of Oakleys for use while playing sports, especially snow skiing and wakeboarding.  8)
