11 days in America. Several good meals. Even more several good beers. A couple of successful meetings, but several more unsuccessful ones. One argument with my boss. Lots of friendly people. A few over-friendly ones. A few who thought my accent is 'quaint' and one particularly annoying one who told me that I dont speak English correctly, and that it would be better if I spoke English like an American. But not just any old American, an American from Tallahassee that sounded like Dolly Parton's lower-class brother. One confiscated Mach 3. One argument with a TSA agent that looked about 6 years old and more suspicious and shifty than any terrorist I've ever seen a picture of. One guy hitting the back of my car with what looked like a Sherman tank. One kid that belly-flopped into the pool I was swimming in but didnt see me and landed on my head. One emergency 2am dash to an emergency room to have something removed from my eye. One mid-afternoon emergency visit to a dentist to have a wisdom tooth removed.
I'm outa here. UK here I come. Back next month for more :)
