Hi, guys!
My son is thinking about doing something for charity and he has decided that he wants to raise some money for cancer research or some similar charity.
I suggested that he raise money for Kids with cancer or Bic4Good or Marie Curie Cancer care. He's thinking about what charity to support.
He is going to have his haircut but doesn't know whether just to get a short haircut, buzzed down to zero or a full head shave.
He asked me to put it to the vote, so now I am asking you guys to vote, please.
(1) Shorter Haircut?
(2) Clipper Shaved to #0?
Or,
(3) Full Head Shave?
Please vote...... My son said he would go with the most votes. He is going to do the charity action in the spring.
Thanks

Well how old is he and I will say I think he should go ahead and try the head shave so 3 is my answer if you can live with it which I know you can(No offense intended). I think it is actually right that both dad and son have a head shaved all the way down would be neat to see and or hear about O0

Door #3.

3 ....... :)
-
There is only one choice!!!! #3
-
3 of course... Is this your ploy to convince him because you know we'll all say 3? :p

I'll take #3 for $2000, Alex!

To really identify with cancer patients going through chemo .... full bald. #3.
Besides, if feels so cool.
He should also go double or nothing. #3 for 30 days straight for a double donation!
-
Definitely 3
-
Might as well have left the first two options off the table with this crowd. #3 of course
-
Ah, did anyone choose #3 yet? That's my vote.
If he's going to do it, then do it BIG. And what a great opportunity for him to truly experience Sly for possible future reference.
Yeah, #3 for sure.

First off good for him for willing to do something like this.
He should make up a chart and have it say something like if he raises a certain amount like $50. he'll only cut it shorter, but if he makes $75. he'll buzz it, but if he brings in $100. or more he'll go sly!
Or just #3 it up! >:D
-
I'll transfer US$5 to his paypal account if he shaves it all off and offers proof -- a pic of course. For him to have the opportunity to feel what it's like at such a young age would be great -- even if he grows it back for a few decades.

This seems like something I was thinking of offering with my beard, I haven't decided yet, but my sister is doing a similar thing to your son. She is planning on shaving her head for "world's greatest shave" to support the Leukaemia Foundation. She already has a couple of hundred, and she asked if I'd be willing to do the same, but for my beard.
We lost my oldest sister from my dad's previous marriage before we even got a chance to meet her, from Leukaemia, and it's always something I've thought of doing.
I was thinking of $50 per centimetre. $1000 for clean shaven. It is for an amazing cause. I just don't know if I can bring myself to put my beard on the line like that.
The shave is held in March some time and I think she was planning on going full sly, I can't remember. I told her she should go full sly to get the full experience.
So, I'll offer the same advice to him #3, but I really like the monetary goals idea personally.

FULL HEAD SHAVE ... good luck !
-
Of course, #3. As was already said, it feels great, it helps to identify more, and it'll be good for future reference.
By the way, how old is he?

I'M with Gary.
I will also give five bucks
If he has no Paypal account, he can easily get one.

What an amazingly creative head tattoo. I wondered if it was real until I read your website and now I believe it.
I reckon that it might confuse little kids though?

Thanks. It really is real.
Tattoos do confuse kids, but they are amazed by them, hence the ??? "open-mouth stare." But most of them really do like them. People often ask me if they might take pictures, particularly in restaurants, usually blaming the request on their kids! I am told by friends that many people take pictures surreptitiously, which is fine with me. Of course some parents >:( think they must drag their kids away from me to safety, knowing that the evil >:D tattooed man is gonna molest the babes, steal them so I can tattoo them, or at least scare them to death. :px

I bet they think that lion is going to come to life and eat them too... or steal their soul! :*))

The fearful Mamas and Papas just don't like anything that incites their judgmental nature and think they have to go to work on their kids when they are young so as to be sure they will carry the parents' prejudices into future generations. I think you are right, Beardman, they really do seem to fear for their souls!

TTG,
I personally like it , it also was nice to see your face with the other tatoo's , and beard, all in combination to me they look great. You must have wanted them or you would never have done them. They are a very fine art and also very well done. O0 People are strange the people that they should run from often times don't and the ones that are kind, interesting , and do their own thing they do. Me I would proably want to chat with you and would walk up and start a conversation. O0

Bilko, I think your son is doing a great thing!
If he is going to buzz his hair and go that short then I sure hope he's considering the razor too.
So, my vote goes to (3) full head shave.
-
Day 0 after = #3
Day 2 after = #2
A Week after = #1
What's the problem? It's not a permanent commitment.
Why not start a #3 and see what develops? It's only hair...
-
Without doubt 3!
-
3 of course and great that he is raising money- you have raised him well!
-
Thanks, guys.
I kind of guessed what the vote would be. I'll let him know. He's planning to do the deed in April or thereabouts. Last Friday he had his haircut a little shorter than normal in preparation for going bald by choice for Childhood Leukaemia/Childhood Cancer Trust. He got a number 3 top & number 1 back and sides. This is the shortest that he has ever had his hair. So it is looking good for the full head shave.I think he was wanting me to shave his head for him when the time comes. I have mentioned the 30-Day-Rule to him & he is fairly willing to stay bald for at least 30 days after the first head shave.
I'll keep you posted.
