Post by: Melaza on December 31, 2012, 08:32:52 AM
Hi...My name is Lenny and i am seriously considering the whole concept of going bald. I will be lying if i say that i have serious doubts about the whole thing...however after reading a few post from some of ya i really think i could do it. First i will say that atleast i got the support of my lovely wife and daughter..i guess that is a start right!

Well anyway i will keep on reading(btw Great site you guys have here) and don`t mind if i post every once in a while.

Thanks and have a nice day.

With wife and daughter's support, what's holding you up?  Shave it now.  If you don't you'll later wish that you did it sooner.

I did not ask my wife and daughters before I shaved my head, a year ago. I've been bald since.  They came to accept it. I love the bald head look.

Welcome. Hope you shave your head and join the sly guys real soon.

Hey Lenny. If the wife is already on board, you might as well just get out the razor and get 'er done. This site is loaded with good information, and some awesome, supportive fellas as well.

Welcome, congrats--nice to have the support of wife--great way to start the New Year.  Oh, and that feeling of relief, it's a common response, also the sensation of freedom.  Don't sweat the reaction of others, if it's good for you, the 24/7 guy, that's all that really counts, the rest is gravy.  And, if you get grief from any guys--check out their mpb status, if it's advancing, it's just jealousy bc you have done it.

Welcome mate,

Glad to hear your family is onside, most hate the idea initially TBH.

Let us know how you get on!

Lenny, that's awesome,

At 11:32 you were "seriously considering", and
At 1:47 it was a done deal.

I think that is the shortest time span I've seen yet.

Congratulations. Enjoy the new look and feel.

New years day morning here -- surfiing while eating my brekkie. Anyway, I wake up to see the above and I think and FEEL fantastic -- another bloke able experience the freedom of no hair. It's funny how this freedom is a big secret really known only to those that have done the deed. Most others don't really know how it is.

I've always been a bit of a Utilitarian a la Jeremy Bentham so the more happy people on planet Earth the better it is for everyone.

Enjoy your new freedom -- so many advantages, so few disadvantages.

Now, go and get that digital camera and get your wife to take a pic to  post here. We all want to see how good it looks.

Way to go, Lenny.

Welcome to the sly guys.  Bald is beautiful and a nice head rub, from your own hands or someone elses is always delightful.

The picture size is probably too large. I think something like 65kb? is the max. (Someone else will likely correct me.)  I use the free tool IrfanView to resize/crop/etc. photos as needed.

That looks seriously good Melaza -- no complaints from wife or children should be tolerated. You've got a good looking brain-box. It looks natural on you and if I didn't know better I would reckon that you've been shaven-headed for years.

And, I don't see any blood at all -- well done. Better than I did.

And, you've got a big happy smile on your dial -- so you are already enjoying it -- excellent. Stay in touch and let us know of your experiences with slickness.

Welcome to the family mate, I must admit like FG I was impressed at how quick you jumped off that fence, good on you mate, it's certainly a keeper! Definitely look into and give the 30 day challenge a go, not that I think you will need it   ;)

not sure of the photo size limit. Moderators were unable to answer the question, but from personal experience, the 65k size seems to work. You can get by with a little more.

If someone wants to experiment. Upload a 65, 66, 67k, etc, until it fails. Then tell us all.

Then we would know.  I have other things to do right now.

Fr as fast as you jumped off the fence, I think you can skip the 30 day rule, and go directly to the sly for life rule.

Looks like you've sported the bald head for years. Really suits you. Enjoy the slick dome every morning.

Welcome, and post often. Tell us how goes at work and in public. I still love to show off my bald head in public. Rarely wear a hat.
