Title: At what age...
Post by: RichardN. on June 02, 2007, 06:57:12 PM
This is for anyone with children or anyone with an opinion:

At what age would you let your son decide to shave his head?  I mean if you're Sly, your son(s) might want to be too.  What if your wife objected?  I remember when I was in the 4th or 5th grade, a boy in our class did something wrong at home & was forced to get a brush cut as a punishment.  I guess times have changed, since now buzz cuts are the style.

Just wondering...

Well as the proud fauther of three kids (one of which is a boy) who is 17 years old now. He started shaveing his head about 5 years ago off and on. I don't have a problem with him shaveing his head at all, because I know his moral values are in the right place. Besides I cannot teach him not to discriminate, if I discriminate him due to his choice of hair style or lack there of.

I would say if the kid wants to shave his head, let him.  Just don't let him use a razor blade unless you think he's old enough to not really hurt himself.  My brother and I used to buzz our head when we were 6 years old.

Personally, as soon as he asked I'd let him but...

I have been married a little over 35 years and I've learned 2 VERY important lessons!

1.) Your wife is always right.
2.) You're always wrong, just get over it!

Hope that helps!   :*))
