I have seen some comments on various posts of people forgetting what it was like when they had hair, it made me have a look back at some older photos.....made me realise it was the right move in my eyes....

Gee, the hairy (on top) you doesn't look nearly as pleased as the Sly (on top) you.

I know I am preaching to the converted but does anyone think it was a bad move for me? The reason I ask is that I have moments of doubt (mainly when people comment on it). I feel more confident with my new look (the majority of the time) but still think about becoming 'one of the crowd' again....

Whoa ... what's that? Some self-doubt?
Let's make this easy.
First, read your first post in this topic (which you started) and then your second post - both from just two days ago. Sounds rather convincing to me.
Second, look back at your posts in August when you were quite uncertain about going Sly ... and once done, it seemed quite brilliant.
Third, look at your "before" and "after" pictures at the top of this thread. To my eye, you look so much better, happier, and content with the smooth finish.
You're just past the four months mark of living Sly. I hope you are nearly at the point where you don't remember what it was like before, and you can't imagine going back.
Do you really want to be just "one of the crowd?"
The net of all this ... you look GREAT!

Thanks Frontier guy, I just have days when I have some self doubt......mainly due to comments. Just need to stay strong and ignore the negative.

One thing I've learned ... and it took lots of lessons and experience (and apparently I am a very slow learner because I keep repeating the class even now): You must believe in and trust yourself. Even if you are surrounded by well-intentioned folks, ultimately you are the one who must look out for yourself.
You look great, and you've come a long way in the last few months. Celebrate your success, and banish the insecurities with the hair!

I am thinking it was just a blip.....have been looking at the sly me photos....so much happier! I just need the guys here for the great support :)

Hey you look better bald I went through the self doubt stages as well but I did grow out of it you are a smart man for shaving your head the ones I laugh at are the people that go for plugs and drugs and rugs

The worst I've experienced was being called a skinhead in Boulder Colorado by a hippie due to being out in public with a shaved head and it didn't bother me since I'm happy with the shaved head

I haven't had anything like that fcb2001, but has made me realise that it is down me and what I want. I just need to stay strong abd not have any doubts about it anymore. It is always good to hear other peoples positive feedback here.

It takes a little time, but eventually people around you get used to it and stop commenting and it all gets easier. Periodically looking back that the "before" photos also helps.

I've only seen a few of your photos, but agree, your photos without hair have this lovable smile. You look happy shaved bald.
