I finally registered here after being a lurker for the past 10 weeks or so. I'm Wade from Bloomington, IL. I've been shaving now for the past 10-12 weeks and love it. Only one nick thus far and it was a good one this week! 8)
I can't thank everyone enough for all of the advice here and look forward to participating.

Frontier. I was at a football game and it was raining hard. My daughter finally looked at me and said Dad, give it up. My wife and son were against it at first but I wanted to see how it would look so I found this site, took some advice and shaved it all off. The wife still isn't sure about it but has gotten used to it. Most people have stated that I even look younger now that I keep it shaved.

Welcome, Bulldog!
your wife will get used to it and start to like it too. She may not like the younger women rubbing your head all the time though...lol.

Welcome to the family mate, sounds like your daughter is very wise and brave for telling you too!
I'm glad you like the look and I look forward to your contributions to this great community!

Kids are often give the most honest (and unsolicited) opinions with no hidden agenda.
Great story.

Welcome, I'm sure it looks great on you.

How come no young women have offered to rub my head? I must be doing something wrong.
Edit: having now given some thought to this I think that maybe it is because I only see real live people one day out of every seven when I go to town. I am however comforted by the fact that all my native animal friends [Mr wombat, all the wallabies, possums, Tassie devils, echidnas and quolls] love me dearly [I can see it in their eyes] and if they only possessed hands they would rub my bald noggin every day or night [dependent upon species].
I'm also pretty sure that if I rubbed meat paste over my skull I could get my chihuahua companion to lick it off for me but it wouldn't be quite the same as having a young woman [or any woman] rubbing it. Oh well, we have to lie in the bed we make.
