Title: head shaving a friend

I've persuaded my good friend (who is 47) to let me shave his head! i've attached his photo.

I've been bald for years and told him how liberating it is. Not sure of the best methods to shave his head and wondering if it will suit him and if he will thank me for it!

Happy to share before and after photos.

Hey, thanks. I haven't done it yet, but am shortly about too. i've managed to persuade him that it will suit him, but not so sure he will like, it so am a bit worried!

Welcome ... clearly he is open to the concept, and perhaps looking forward to a change.

I think it's important that you encourage him to "maintain" for the 30-day challenge to really get a sense of how it is to live with it and for others around him to adapt.

And, kudos to you, because this is obviously a very good friendship.

If you post a pic of his face, we all should be able to tell you if he has the head/face for it. We'll all be waiting for the after pics too

Make sure you buzz him hair down with clippers then shave with the grain. Stress the importance of letting his scalp adjust to daily shaving before venture against the grain.

Steve,
As long as you can outrun him, do what you want.  Seriously though, if he is willing to let you shave his head, I think he is open enough to the smooth head look/feel.   If he doesn't like it, hair will grow back.

:) use a clipper and shave it down as close as you can get it.

I say go ahead and take all of your friend's hair off he will probably love in the end or then again maybe not
