Matt Lauer from NBC has very little hair on the top of his head and he buzzes it down.  He would be a good candidate for a head shave.

When I saw him yesterday on TV I noticed how close he is to getting there. He should go for it. Totally agree with your opinion.

He already got plugs so he'll probably have scars.

I don't think he has plugs.  Remember about 10 or 12 years ago when his hair really began to go and he got a buzz cut and went nuts about how he'd "shaved" his head?   I recall that he commented that he didn't want to be bothered with plugs or rugs. 

Unfortunately for him, he does not look great with the buzz cut.
