Well, I am about to leave for the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. I am somewhat nervous because family, friends, and one particular laydee there have never seen me sly. Not only that, but in all my years there have NEVER even seen one single sly person. I am worried that going out at night will be awkward as the women seem to prefer men with hair. I mean this is an area of the country where the mullet still holds sway! Friends who are balding and some who are REALLY balding, live in baseball hats all day and night. No one there it seems would ever consider going sly. It will definitely be interesting as I have no intention of giving up being slick and smooth. 8) Maybe I can be the trend center for an entire region of the country. Guess I'll see soon enough. ::)

Good luck man. Remember the ladies everywhere are lovin the sly! No doubt in my mind that you will soon be the trend setter. O0

Just be yourself !!

Paul, you have nothing to worry about brother. Once they get a load of you...you will turn that place upside down, after a couple of days, the men will be rockin the "sly" and the women will be chasin' the dude that started the new trend....walk around like you own the place !B@ !B@ !B@ B@%d

Hey Paul, it sounds like a great operatunity to sport the SBG "T" shirt and make sure you have a good supply of SBG cards. O0
And don't worry I got your back. :x!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I certainly have no problem being and promoting sly...and hadn't looked at the view point that I will truly be ONE OF A KIND. Sweet
-
Paul,
When your balding friends see the attention the Sly look gets from the ladies, they'll get out from under their baseball caps in a hurry and ditching the rest of their hair. Wouldn't worry about the family. They'll get used to it.

I'm thinking you'll be a trend setter in that area. Paul, the man that brought Sly!
-
Paul, I read in World News that the aliens landed there and took over the upper pennisula. So don't fret, you will be a god! B*)

Time to start a new trend up in the UP O0
Especially after all their ladies start chasing you, they'll all go sly too. Or they will start chasing you too.
-
Paul...You have to lead by example bro! Which I know you will!!!!
They will see the baldness and go WOW!!!!!
i want to be Sly!!1 O0

Just whip up a batch of Schrotinis.
After that, who cares WTF you look like?
-
I only care that I look and feel sly, schro. Just the reactions I was a little apprehensive about. But, I've been here for about 5 hours now, seen a few family and a few friends, and to quote Gomer "Surprise, Surprise" no one has even said a word about the totally sly look. Always had really short even clipper shaved style but no one seems to thinks anything about (or I'm am SOOOOOOOOOOOO intimidating no one wants to say :*)))Still need to see a lady friend tomorrow and my niece but apparrently that old sly confidence just is overwhemlimg. Thanks for the support though everyone.
-
Well, i guess it's time to really PROVE you love the 'sly"...if there are no other brothers out there that can be your support...it's all up to you to show the dudes what it's like to be rockin' such a cool look!
Now you know how the "bald" pioneers felt...ie, Telly Savalas, Yul Brenner...and that was in a time when NO ONE rocked the sly....
Go live large our bald friend! O0
P.S. let us know if some mullet dudes try to glue some hair on the back of your head or somethin' like that...we'll send out the sly pose' to clean those guys up! ;)
-
As we've always maintained, it's all about attitude & confidence.

NO S&!T. Well I will continue to pioneer the sly look here, though my one buddy took off his ball cap today and I gotta tell ya there is not much left....gonna be workin' on him for sure O0
And oh yeah Tyler, will be sending you the bill for the internet service I just had hooked up here j/k Thanks for the addiction :*)) :*))

Hey, Paul.
I know how you feel. I always feel nervous when I run into people I haven't seen for a long time, who've never seen me sly. By now I've been sly long enough that it doesn't happen very much anymore, but every once in a while it does still happen.
I was at a barbecue over Memorial Day weekend and was the only sly guy there. Somehow the conversation turned to the topic of hair and haircuts and I had that "uh-oh" feeling because I knew it was only a matter of time before the conversation turned to my lack of hair. And eventually it did. I got the how often do you shave, how do you shave, etc. questions. I still feel a little minor discomfort about it. I don't know why. I guess I just don't like talking about it with non-sly people. Kind of like, "It's a sly thing; you wouldn't understand!!" Know what I mean?? 8) 8)

I always get asked how long have I been shaving my head and if I'm a blade or electric man. It's amazing over the years the numbr of married women that have come up and told me they want their husbands to go slick but the husband won't shave his head.
-
Don't fret bro. Just be your true sly bad a$$ self and everything will be just fine. Good luck with the ladies while you're up there and have a safe trip. O0

RazorX,
I know what you mean. I was out last night and ran into a friend, who practically shouted at me in a restaurant, holy s**t, why the hell did you shave your head. Made me feel self conscious but then this hottie came by the table and told me "don't worry about her, I think you look hot bald" and this gorgeous woman was a stranger!

Wooohooo!!! Did you get a head rub?

I second that Wooohooo. You know you've got something going on when a complete stranger (and hottie) compliments you. Your stock is on the rise, if not something else (sorry, can I say that Tyler?)
