Title: Thursday Night Football: Who ya got? Tampa Bay at Minnesota

Some games when you immediately see them, just reek "ugly" and this would be one of them. Maybe the TV executives figured they would need to throw a dog on this week with the World Series in high gear.

The Minnesota Vikings remain one of the league's biggest early surprises, but they had to survive an inept performance on offense to continue their drive for an NFC North crown. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, meanwhile, had nothing to show for their best offensive output of the season. Minnesota will look to double last season's win total when they host the Buccaneers on Thursday night.

The Vikings remained perfect at home with an ugly 21-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday while the Buccaneers blew a 14-point lead against the New Orleans Saints to absorb their fourth loss in the last five games. Tampa Bay won at Minnesota in Week 2 last season before unraveling and finishing the season on a 10-game losing streak.

Prediction: Minnesota 21 Tampa Bay 17 (Tampa Bay covers +6.5)

My prediction is a Vikings win.  The Vikings are definitely over-achieving.  It's going to be close.
Vikings 24  Buccaneers 20.

The Suckaneers are a bottom-three run-defense.....All Day (A. Peterson) becomes All Night. I see him with 24 carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Ponder has to stink up the joint to blow this one, and Minnesota has a much better defense than the Saints(who doesn't?) Minnesota 31, Tampa Bay 14

I just hope it is a more exciting game than last Thursday Night Football (Seahawks vs Niners).  That was a snooze fest.

Wow... that was a bad Vikings lost.  They got dominated at home by the lowly Buccaneers.  Final:  Bucs 36 Vikings 17.
