How are you all this awesome Sunday?
I went to church this morning, had brunch at this local restaurant then got a Mani & pedi and came home to relax. It's been a relaxed weekend---even took off both days from gym.
I'm watching Jeepers Creepers 2 (love scary flicks )
No family or too many friends here in Florida :( so I try to make the best of it...any tips on how to make friends? ;D

Generally I find groups that support/cater to one of my interests. Charitable groups are another that is a good way to connect with people - and sometimes the "connection" isn't with that person, but they know someone you should meet.
Here in Central Florida - and I'm disappointed to say I haven't gone yet - the "Give Kids the World" village in Kissimmee has huge needs for volunteers of various skills from serving meals to entertaining. You might look into that one.
For me, I most often connect with the most interesting people when I'm not even thinking about it.

As an aside...My family went to GKTW a few years back as part of a Make A Wish trip. It is such an awesome place. Like FG said, they ae always looking for volunteers. You won't regret giving your time to them, I guarantee it. My family and I hope to go back there to volunteer some time.
I didn't mean hijack this thread, but I had to put in my plug for GKTW!!

Glad to know you had a relaxing weekend Angel. I had the chance to catch up on much needed sleep this weekend.
A good looking guy like you should not have a hard time making new friends.

I've been involved with many groups and have met lots of very good folks...Habitat for Humanity, a local soup kitchen, Food Not Bombs, Remedial Reading Tutor, ESOL Teacher...I enjoyed and had fun doing it all. Google this org and see what you think, "VOSH"....Volunteers Optometrics in Service to Humanity. It's a very cool org but it involves international travel which many can't do. Good luck, LC!

Not as awesome as charitable work, but it's usually pretty easy to meet like minded people at gigs
