Getting ready to watch the season premier of Sons Of Anarchy and was wondering how many of you guys watch it....
-
I've seen it but I'm not really a fan. A couple of my coworkers love it, though. Personally I'd rather read a book.
-
FWIW, my favorite show is probably Bones followed by Without A Trace and Cold Case.
-
I like Sons! No spoilers though please. I watch it a day or two later online.
-
Other favorites...
Dexter
Doctor Who - All time favorite!
Mad Men
Breaking Bad
-
Favorites...
1. Hannity (Fox News)
2. The O'Reilly Factor (Fox News)
3. The Golf Channel Network (all shows)
4. Oakland A's Baseball.
5. Chopped
Other than that, don't really watch many series.
-
I'm really more of a Book guy which lets me move at my own pace, savor the story and characters, and embellish the elements however I choose.
But for the occasional TV, the ones I consistently watch (usually after several episodes have collected on the DVR) are:
Suits
White Collar
Royal Pains
Psych
And I'll still fall back on Monk even though the series has ended.

SOA
WEEDS
BREAKING BAD
GAME OF THRONES
HIT OR MIS
-
Californication
Law and Order
Weeds
Breaking Bad

Ive never watched a full episode. The blonde actor is British and started his career playing a gay teenager in "Queer as Folk" the stuff he did! Totally unrecogniseable in Sons of Anarchy.
At the moment Im hooked on True Blood, can't help it!

I presume you mean Charlie Hunan from British Queer as Folk. I'll have to check it out. I don't watch much television but I'm hooked on British & American Being Human. The new series won't start until winter here in the USA. The British series is on BBC America and the American series is on the SyFy network.

Yes SimpltRed, Charlie Hunan. He is unrecogniseable in the UK version of Queer as Folk.
I love "Being Human" too, not seen the US version.

Current favorites:
Person of Interest
XIII (on REELS channel)
True Justice (also on REELS)
One of the better shows, IMO, of recent past was a show on A&E called Rubicon. It was about an intelligence contractor that worked for CIA/NSA. They were responsible for sifting through incident reports from all over the world and determining patterns and making predictions of terrorist strikes. A very intelligently done show. The way the show was structured a viewer really had to think to keep up which is probably why it only lasted one season, no spoonfeeding. If you lost track of what was going on you might as well quit watching because none of it would make sense. I miss that show but I understand why it didn't last.

Much of TV has gone down the Loo in the US. Reality TV, is food for those that refuse to think, like the talking haters on opinions shows...these programs are cheap to produce and make easy money . I'd like to see more thinking persons comedy and drama and programing like on PBS.

Was disappointed when that show didn't last.

The wife and I love that show. Sad to see it end, but all good things must do so, no?
I've never watched Sons. Just doesn't seem that interesting to me.. but I've heard it's good.
If this topic is limited to shows that are still running today, mine are:
Breaking Bad
Burn Notice
Wilfred (U.S. version, obviously)
Modern Family
American Dad!
Peep Show (f-in hilarious! new episodes are in the works)

The reality shows actually came into existence during a writers' strike. The studio heads came up with the idea because it requires minimal, if any, writing and is cheap to produce since they don't have to pay the characters as the show goes on. Since then the shows have taken on a life of their own and many have become as addictive as heroin.
-
Unfortunatly, they have. Too bad they suck.
-
I won't be having withdrawals, the shakes or the heebeejeebees if reality goes and acting and comedy comes back to TV.
O:O
-
Ahh yes, the good old days.
-
Prison break, first season was great but got bored during season 2 so stopped watching, shame really
-
As a shift worker, it's difficult for me to follow any TV show....I do enjoy game shows, however.
-
SAMCRO!
Breaking Bad
White Collar
Suits - WWHD (What would Harvey do?)
-
Justified.
-
I have to dl all my shows just to keep up, Australian TV is hopeless! Even though there is new shows coming out in America they still play reruns of shows that are still going...
I'd have to say my favourites are;
Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother
Game of Thrones
Warehouse 13
NCIS
-
I enjoyed the first series of "Warehouse 13" it was shown on some odd freeview chanel. Did they do any more after series 1?

Yeah they did! They are up to season 4 now. Season 3 left me crying WHY!?!? As to how they left it, nothing worse then when they cap off a season with a massive cliffhanger like that. Season 4 is well under way in the US (I dl all my shows now, just so I can keep up), and it is pretty cool so far.
-
Modern Family
Survivor
Touch
Love them all... especially the scenes in Modern Family that have Sophia Vergara in them!!!
-
Downton Abbey..which just started season 3 in jolly old but we colonials will have to wait until January.
-
Oh yes! I wtched the first of the new series of Downton on Sunday..relaxing and warming!

Love Dexter. Can't wait for it to start up again.
Wife and I just finished watching all the back episodes of Torchwood, now I'm thinking I'll have to try out Dr Who.
