Hi Everyone!

I decided to go bald a couple of month ago (although I've been considering doing that since 10 years ago). The best decision. So liberating.

And now I find this forum!..Cool! Looking to meet some of you guys!

Welcome JJ,

This is a great community with lots of information, encouragement (if needed, but appears you've passed that hurdle), and generally good fellowship. I hope you will participate regularly.

Nearly all of us have experienced that feeling of liberation from shaving - whether due to Male Pattern Baldness or Bald By Choice (BBC). It's something that can only be experienced - no way of describing it to someone.

So, as you've been Sly for a couple of months ... what's been most surprising to you? A reaction from someone? A "non-reaction" from someone? The surprise of seeing yourself unexpectedly in a reflection?

Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome here. I did shave my head once, 10 years ago, but my family didn't like it. I was starting to lose hair by then. After losing more, I finally decided that I don't need to please Mom anymore. At the beginning of this year I started shaving the head again. I just love it. My Husband was not excited about it and says that he is ok with me shaving my head, but he prefers me when I have a beard or a goatee.

Aloha  and welcome Juan...you are looking good like a SLY guy should. I am 71 and have been shaving for about four years but always remember: "Young or Old...bald is BOLD".

Unless you prefer being clean shaven, a little goatee can only enhance your nice looking head.....If you want to give it a try, if you don't like it, you can always shave it off!
