Title: Pacific Shave Cream
Post by: Tyler on August 23, 2012, 05:57:24 PM
What's up guys?

As some of you old timers may remember, I did a review on Pacific Shaving Oil (still the best shaving oil IMHO) a while back.

Well, the other day I was searching for some of their oil and found that they now have a Pacific Shaving Cream (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XK066I/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002XK066I&linkCode=as2&tag=bestmyspacepr-20)!

I ordered it and have been using it the past week.  I think this is one of the best shaving creams I've tried since Creamo Cream.

It takes a very small, dime sized amount, to cover my entire scalp.  When lathered and applied it created a thin, protective film.  What I really like about it is that it's like my blade is running on a cloud.  I don't get any irritation at all.  AND it doesn't clog my blades.

I think the DE shavers will really like this cream as it seems like it would lather very well with a shaving brush.

If some of you try it, let me know what you think!

I did a review on their "Nick Stick" the other day. Top notch product.

Is this a canned product or something else?

I know their shaving oil is first class stuff. I'll have to try the cream.

Tyler,

Have you compared the Pacific Shaving Oil with Shave Secret?

When I was in the US last week, I saw the Pacific stuff at Christmas Tree Shops, but I passed it over as I was waiting for Walmart to pick up a few bottles of Shave Secret. (It's not available here in Canada, so I was stocking up - I'm going through it quicker now that my wife has found that she likes it for her legs)

I think the price was comparable.

I'm a bigger fan of Pacific Shaving over Shave Secret.  The reason being, is that Shave Secret clogs my blades whereas Pacific Shaving doesn't.  I also like the scent of Pacific (citrus) over Shave Secret (tea tree).

Thanks for the info. I'll have to pick some up and give it a try next time I'm down in the US. (Although if it's anytime soon, I may not want to like it as I think I now have a year's supply of Shave Secret   :) )

Pacific shave cream and Manumission/Fightceuticals shave gel are the two best products for shaving on the market.
