Title: Headblade change rate
Post by: clarinetguy on August 22, 2012, 10:04:39 PM
Hi everyone, After four months of being Sly, I have gotten into the routine of changing my Headblade once a week. I could really tell when it seemed to be wearing out. Being BBC it gets plenty of stubble to work on each day. Lately, I have noticed that it seems to be wearing out before the week has passed. Does anyone have any ideas or want to let me know the interval you use between blade changes? thanks

I get about 6-7 shaves out of a cartridge with daily shaving. I've experimented quite a bit with how to get the most out of my blades. One thing I've found that helps is to not keep them in the bathroom and to dry them off after a shave, these 2 steps help reduce rust (which is one of the key factors in blades going dull).

thanks man for the tip- I have an outdoor shower in the summer and most likely the blades have gotten their share of dampness and not always being dry- I will try your tip.

I've been using the HB for 5 days now, I will surely tell you how often I change the cartridges.

HI CG!

I change once a week BUT I usually skip a day a week shaving so that would be 6 shaves (with the HB triple).
