So I have been contemplating being bald for a very very long time. I have been a member of this forum for a while, albeit a quite one, but I have read a hell of a lot of posts during that time...
This past Sunday afternoon it all clicked and now I am a proud member of the sly brotherhood... And I LOVE IT! I'm 41, in pretty good shape and I work in the public... For those of you who are on the fence like I was, it is an amazing feeling of freedom once you do it... And with the exception of one of two people I have had nothing but positive reactions...
I'd like to thank you all for the great posts and conversations and look forward to a) posting a pic and b) becoming more active in this great community...

Thanks for posting, and please continue to share your experiences - particularly those "in public" as that seems to be the biggest obstacle for guys who want to go Sly. You found, as have so many of us, that it's really not an issue.

Looks good. I like the tie. Come September, my tie will go back on. Just a little hot here in North Carolina to do the tie thing in summer, unless it is a funeral or a wedding.
And I've not had either this summer.

Again to anyone who is reading these posts and wondering if they should take the plunge... Do it.
It is rewarding. It is liberating. And for me, at least, it's a physical representation of who I want to be and how I want the world to see me. It's very powerful stuff.
We will delve into all the things that got me here in posts to follow I am sure, trust me TLC reality shows pale in comparison, but for being a sly guy for only 5 days I can tell you this it's simply amazing.

Yes my partner is amazing, handsome, smart, makes me smile all the time... I could gush more but NO need to...
He is super supportive of this - and I can never thank him enough for all the encouragement to be myself...

Well at this point I think I'm gonna stay sly for a long time. It's just day 6 for me and I am addicted to how my head feels.
I thought this was gonna be good but not as amazing as it has turned out.
