How to make your bald head blend in wit the rest of your skin? The Sun?
-
Yeah, I've been giving my dome some sun but in small doses to avoid sunburn. It's taken about two months but it's color is finally close to matching my face and neck.
-
I guess that is the only way, unless you use a moisturiser with a hint of tan in it, like a gradual summer tan in a bottle. I personally wouldn't use that. I'm quite white anyway so I don't really suffer with that problem. Take it easy if you do go in the sun though!

Ap Sunscreen when you're outside?
-
Of course

I am bald by choice and my hair is black. I have learned to accept that no matter what I do, there will always be shadow. What is important is the awesome feeling of smoothness after shaving.
-
I must admit, after three months I still find the whole shadow thing a bit of a challenge. I do not like it at all. That is why I shave every day and why I am back to morning shaves as this prevents the shadow as far as possible. I also find myself spending a lot of time in the winter sun to try and get the even skin tone.
-
It seems unfortunately the shadow is just a something us sly guys have to learn to deal with. I work out doors so I tend to get my beanie off and soak up the winter sun just like Waine. I don't think I have enough hair at the front to create an obvious shadow, so it doesn't bother me too much, another thing is to shave it every day as Waine said, that will help knock down the shadow too if you get a nice close ATG shave.
-
I stopped noticing the shadow after a while. It could be that what hair I would have is now grey so the shadow is less obvious.
Getting out in the sun helps. Definitely apply sunscreen. You do not want to get a burnt scalp, and if you do you do not want to be shaving it.

I don't care about "the shadow" I am balding and I am not shaving my head to hide that fact- I am shaving my head because it is liberating (healthier than counting dead hairs on the pillow)-I am balding so what -even though i suffer from three letter diagnosis (i refuse that three letter defines me ) I have my ups and downs every day but I don't think that I would be any happier with full head of hair ....
-
I still have shadow, although less now that my hair is graying. I look at it as a badge of honor for choosing to be a bald man.
-
for making the skin blend, sun and patience. For getting rid of the shadow, short of tweezing or getting like laser hair removal or something there's nothing you can really do about it.
-
Shadow.....almost all of us have it....I just file it under the "it is what it is" category.....

It's Always A Done Deal Everytime I Shave My Head. I Just Wanna Run Outside In The Hot Sun & Start Playing Basketball. Sometimes I Tend To Notice My Hairline. Lol O0

This place is a nightmare for someone that doesn't speak english as strong as others.
but what's do you mean by shadow?
if you mean stuble, ever think of waxing, it's cheap to do yourself and easy if you have a girl do it, and it doesnt hurt, ive had other areas done before, and if they didnt hurt the head wont.
-
Yeah, the shadow was the biggest thing that bothered me when I first went sly. I have a big bald spot on the back of my head but in the front I had a dark shadow when I shaved. Like others have said though... It is what it is, I shave daily in the mornings, got some sun on the dome and now I don't notice it as much.
-
Shadow means the dark color on the head due to the roots of dark hair, it does not necessarily means stubble. Never considered waxing. I am happy with what I have.
-
I think that we all have a shadow unless you are fully bald by nature.
But you know, WE see the shadow on ourselves. I doubt that others do if you shave regularly.
I see a guy at a distance and THINK that he is bald. Then he gets up close and he has stubble. From a distance, I can't see the stubble or shadow. It's only up close.
Don't sweat the shadow that you can see at 12 inches. Most people don't see us that way.

The Shadow Doesn't Bother Me As Much Now Since I Shave Everyday. And I Usually Spend My Time Outside. O0

I've been shaving twice a day in the morning and when i get home from work because I feel the stubble, I just can't stand the feeling of not having a smooth head.

Now here's a guy committed to a bald head. He's not going to let hair get by! I like a smooth head, but can't afford the time or the blades to go twice a day! except perhaps if it is a date night with wife or some special occasion where I'm likely to get head rubs.
-
It's kind of funny because for years I've been buzzing my head on 1 but would never go all the way,so back in Augest I went all the way and now here I am twice a day and it feel great.

Personally I have no issue with the shadow; over the two or three years that I have been shaving daily it has lessened due to natural recession and balding, plus tanning of the skin, but recurs in the end each time. It is inevitable that shadow will appear after a few hours after each shave and for me that is just part of the sly BBC look
