HELP! (lol) - This is going to sound like an AA or GA meeting.
Hi, my name is Scottso and I am ‘TOTALLY OBSESSED AND ADDICTED’ to shaving my head.
I’ve been SLY now for 6 weeks and I honestly cannot wait for my next shave (FIX)!
I am also obsessed with rubbing my head; and loving the feel of that baby butt smoothness of my freshly shaved head.
I think there should be a SBG Anonymous forum for all of us who are TOAA (TOTALLY OBSESSED AND ADDICTED) but are affair to admit it.
-
I can see the obsession in your picture. I put new blades in this morning and the shave was incredible! Understand the head rub thing to!
-
I think those groups are for folks that want to quit what they are doing. None of us do.

An EXCELLENT point by Tom!!

Point well taken - but as a new guy being sly, you can understand the thrill and buzz I get from shaving the dome.
-
Count me in! I'm obsessed and addicted as well. It wasn't until I went sly that became almost completely satisfied with my appearance. And there's nothing quite like the feel of a freshly shaved dome.

I swear - I'm hooked!!!

Instead of having a meeting for us addictive type personalities ... let's just have a party!
On the Sly, of course!
(Bald is the price of admission.)

Party! Did someone say Party! LOL.... Count me in

Scott you so much like a buddy in Montana, except he does not have a tattoo. He is bald by nature and wears glasses
-
I sure am addicted! I can't wait till it's next smooth!
-
I also love to shave my head, and can't wait till it's done. looks like something normal to me

@Scott
I can understand your term "addicted" to shaving. In the beginning I too was "addicted", looking forward to my daily shaves. I guess it is human nature, when one discovers something new if life that one enjoys, the person becomes "obsessed" seeking more and more enjoyment out of it. Three months later I am still enjoying shaving my head, but the initial excitement has panned out.
However, I am still a little obsessive when it comes to purchasing anything shaving related always seeking out a different blade, a new shaving soap, a new moisturizer or a different after shave. I always ensure that I have more than sufficient stock of everything so that I never run out.
So yes, many of us here can relate to what you are saying. And there is nothing wrong about getting excited over the way of Sly…

Well, this being my 1000th post....I sometimes wonder if I am hooked and addicted to this forum....But after making so many friends here, you know what....Addiction or not, my next 1000 posts start today! As far as shaving, I'm a random shaver; part of the fun of shaving my head is people guessing how long will I go between shaves,

When I first started shaving, I had the feeling I was addicted to it. Nearly 15 months later, I still love shaving and look forward to it in a way that I never did before going sly. Seems strange to say that shaving my face used to be a task, but now shaving my face and head are a pleasure.
Count me among the converts - I enjoy trying different razors and techniques in pursuit of the "perfect shave".
So I guess I'm both addicted and obsessed!

It never changes - -there is nothing like the smooth bald noggin after shaving and all I have left is a little fuzz on top - -
- - - but I shave it - -and I love the shiny dome - - -I still look in the mirror all the time and when I shop at Macy's - -I have a real problem because there are mirrored post all over the store - - -and I stop at every one to check out my shiny dome.
Don't let anyone kid you - -Bald guys are much better looking than guys with hair - - - -
Enjoy your bald melon and make sure you keep your grape shaved - - -and enjoy the (baby ass) feel - -I still do after years - - -
-
Keeping your head shaved and smooth is not in the least bit obsessive.
No different from cleaning your teeth several times day. Or putting clean clothes on.
I want to keep my head smooth and shiny. What's the worry ?

I couldn't agree more about feeling like I look forward to each shave. Being over three months into it now I still think about and anticipate that smooth feeling after the daily shave. As a matter of fact today I was lazy and did not shower till after some outside work as it was Sat. Even late in the day when I showered I felt the need to shave my head and knew I could not make myself wait till tomorrow. I can relate to that excited anticipation we all seem to share and yes mirrors now have new meaning for me with the shaved head. You are not alone and thanks for writing about it.

An early morning shave to get a smooth shining dome is the best way to begin a successful day. It just makes me feel good as a man, and it's not an obsession nor an addiction. Post from baldy biker - retired physician / age 64.
