Hey folks,
My name is Randy and I just joined the community. Just today I became bald for the first time. I am not losing my hair by any means. My new-found baldness comes from an accident I had this morning.
See, I'm 24 and newly married. Today before work (I'm a graduate student, but I work as night security to pay the bills), I was looking at my two-month old hair cut (about two inches of length) and decided the back was getting way too uneven. So I called my wife in and asked her to take my clippers and "just even out the back". I trust her, and usually she does a good job with my hair. Unfortunately, she forgot to check the setting on the clippers and one "OOPS!" later i have a nearly-bald stripe from the back of my neck up to the top of my head. For about 5-seconds I was angry from the shock of it. She looked horrified. Then, we started laughing like idiots. I had no choice: the rest had to come off.
She helped me buzz the rest off. (We got to make silly designs on my head as we went.) When we got it all buzzed, I didn't like what I saw. My scalp was a mess with dry and mangled skin. I looked around on the net for some solutions, and came across this awesome forum. After reading some articles, I talked to the little lady and we decided I'd go bald. My opinion was I'd be less self-conscious bald than I would having a short buzz with a horrible looking scalp. We read up some more info, got some supplies to help with the shaving and scalp care, and went to work. I don't think it looks too bad either. (Though I think some facial hair is in order).
I decided that I was going to accept the baldness. I rather like the feeling, and I have decided to make it into an experiment by taking the 30-day challenge. The added bonus is the wife likes it too. She keeps rubbing my head and kissing it. I'll be sure to keep an update on how things go.

Man this is the way to go. Please do follow the 30 day rule. You'll never want to mess with hair again.
Your profile pix.looks comfortable. I really like the bald head rubs from my wife.keep us posted.
Nice mistake!
I'd agree with adding facial hair.

Welcome mate! Sounds to me like a mistake that has capitalised for you. I hope continue to enjoy the sly look and finish out your 30 day challenge, and then some O0

Welcome Randy. That's awesome. Great attitude, and a great entrance into the world of sly. Give it the 30 days. I don't think you'll ever go back - especially with your wife's support.
And ... really ... there are no accidents. It was just "meant to be."

Welcome to the Forum, Stoneage!
You know.... some of the greatest inventions in history started out as "accidents".

Reasons enough to stay sly. Take the 30 day trial. Apart from the hair on your head, you've nothing to lose.

Welcome Randy!
This is the kind of "mistake" that you should keep repeating. Good luck with the 30-days rule.

Welcome Randy, way to go. Stick with it for the thirty now!

Welcome, Randy! I can relate to the accident thing....my barber gave me a bad haircut in the 8th grade and I tried to "fix" it but was forced to shave it off because I made it worse.....The shaved head looks good, enjoy and post often!

Sweet! Enjoy the look. It certainly works for you. ;)
