Hello guys!
First post here, so an introduction is needed.
I'm Andrei, Andrew - for the English speakers, and most important, I shaved my head for the first time yesterday.
As a little background, I've been 0 buzzing for the last 6-7 months, but only yesterday finally used the blade.
No cuts so far and the shaving process didn't take too long; reading and lurking around here definitely payed off.
I have to admit, I only shaved with the grain, but it's still shaving, right?
Cheers!

yes it is and welcome aboard.
Cheers,
Ty

A shave is a shave, welcome to SBG mate!

A shave is a shave, welcome to SBG mate!
Cool then, but I do hope my shaving skills will improve.

I've almost finished my 30 days and I can tell you, with every shave you will improve O0
-
Beardman, congratuliation! Many more good head shaving days to come! (this might be an English fail, but I don't know the right congratuliation formula for the 30 days Rule)
It's good to know that, because right now I'm more interested in perfecting my technique and I'm not worring about the shaving time at all.

Welcome Andrei.
So ... is all of Romania going Sly? That would be an awesome international distinction!
You are clearly on the right path - don't rush, take your time to establish good shaving skills. The time will decrease if you need it to. Personally, I allow more time in the mornings just so I can be leisurely and enjoy the experience.
Glad you've shed your "lurk" mode. Hope you will contribute often.

Thanks for the welcome!
I don't know about the entire country, but there are a few men that sport short haircuts. Most of them go with a buzz cut and just few choose to give the blade a good use.
Well, the experience... it's one of a kind, but you know that by now.
Some time ago I read an article which stated that any man should try at least once in his life time to shave his head. Couldn't agree more now that I've tried it and plan to make a habit out of it.

i'm about 6 months behind you Andrei. first shaved my head in January. It's been a fun adventure. This site has been helpful. Hope you find that, too.
You 'll look excellent with a shaved head.
-
MrZed, 6 months wow, I belive you're a pro head shaver now.
I find this site helpful too, that's why I have put an end to my lurcking days and did the deed.
I attached a photo too - with my dome, hope it's visible.

shaving gets easier as time goes by. Becomes natural. and natural as a look for yourself. I am scanning some old photos in which I had some hair. My kids are commenting on me having hair!!!

just saw the pic it actually works really well for you too, bro. no rush in shaving against the grain. i diddnt start shaving ATG till after like 3 or 4 days. but be warned it gets so close that once you try it you will never want to do it any otherway. atleat thats imho.

palmerproject, I really like this site too.
It has a lot of good advices and interesting topics, but most important are the people.
I'm still a noob in head shaving so I try not to rush things, and hopefully I'll know when the time is right for trying ATG.
I've noticed that most guys go WTG then ATG and finally fix any misted spots.
Regarding the head shaving gear I've noticed there are a lot of products and I must admit that of many I have never heard before lurking around here and singing up.
