Hey Guys,
Cheers for the advice that everyone has given me, it was at the time and still is now, very much appreciated, as i doubt i would have done the deed so to speak without your help. Its now been 2 weeks since I shaved my head, and there have been a mixed bag of reactions to be honest, at first they were slightly more blunt than expected. My friends were somewhat shocked as I hadnt pre-warned any of them, so comments along the line of 'have you had leukemia', 'what on earth made you do it' and 'you look like you are going to rob my grandma', amongst others. Those were the first sort of shocked comments that were made, and to be honest, i took them in the context they were meant, a humorous one, but i was weary with being slightly self-aware since i had done it.
After everyone had got used to the 'shock', the comments did appear to be more supportive with friends not commenting on my receding hairline, or anything else for that matter, but saying that i look good in the new look. I feel a lot more confident with the new look, as for a 21 year old, i dont feel like im trying to hide anything, even something as 'trivial' as my hairline, or rather lack of it. I have got more attention for women since i have done this, and for some reason i have gained the name 'Shrek' from certain colleagues, i take it as it is though, a friendly nickname. The funny thing being is that some people who i have come accross in my line of work, dont want to be confrontational with a chap with a shaved head, which i find amusing aswell as people in general being more polite to me, again sort of bizarre.
I am still yet to return home to show my parents, as at present im away living at University, so that should be fun to see the shock from them. I am considering growing a Goatee, to add something else to my face i guess.
Cheers for the support guys, I definately feel a new man.
Still sly, bald and a guy!
Jimmy :)

Nice one Jimmy, glad you are getting use to it.

Great to hear Jimmy....you might find a goat just the thing to add a nice touch to your new sly look...my suggestion is to just try a bottom only goatee, at first...it's 1/2 way between a goat and "Mr. Clean" clean shaven....
Keep it smooth and sly my newly balded brutha!

My favorite part of being sly is getting nicknames and having people be afraid to cross you. And I love being called "baldy." :)

Hey Jimmy,
Wecome! You have a great attitude. You have spared yourself so much unnecessary mental anguish. I wish I had done this earlier like you. I think a goat would look great on you. Go for it.
