Happy to have found this site. Recently went from a 000 clipper setting to a blade shaver, which is what led me to discover this site (I Googled head shaving tips.) I'm happy with the new look, though most of the comments I have received have been wise cracks. Doesn't bother me though. Looking forward to exploring the site more - seems like it has much to offer. Best to all my fellow bald guys.

Welcome KenTL.
Make yourself at home and join the conversation. read around for tips and ask questions as they come to mind.
Your bald head looks good. Add a smile to the profile picture and to life and walk out confidently. The jokes will bounce off.
I find that I smile a lot more with a shaved head. And I enjoy the sparkle in the eyes of another bald guy when we see that we share shaved heads.
My wife and daughters are getting used to the new look.

I agree with mrzed. The jokes bounce off. I've found that if people were honest most would say they wished they had the courage to go sly.
When I have hair I don't get a lot of looks from the ladies. You wouldn't believe the number of looks I get when I'm sly. It's amazing. I think it has to do with the confidence that we naturally exude when we challenge societal norms.

Welcome Ken!!!!!!!
Ahhhh.... those jokes are usually by people that don't have any real sense of humor. Ignore them and move along!!

Welcome to the bald brotherhood Ken. Bald becomes you.

Welcome Ken. The only opinion which truly matters is the one of the guy wearing the sly look - yours. Looks great.

Welcome, Ken! I still get jokes too, but as they say, just brush it off with a smile...

Thank you all for the welcomes and words of encouragement. I'm not about to let a few wise cracks change my mind about shaving my head, but it still surprises me when otherwise well meaning people think it's okay to makes jokes about your baldness. But I'm way too old to care what they think.
I spent several days last month with some extended family, some that I had not seen in many years. One of my brothers is also a sly bald guy, and though we don't look very much alike (he is eight years older than I, and several inches shorter than me) several people thought I was him during my visit. I guess all they see is the bald head, not the face. Again, it didn't really bother me, I was just surprised, since no one had ever mistaken me for him before.
