I guess my stuff will get here. In the meanwhile, I used every cartridge I had plus a Remington razor and sideburn trimmer to do the deed! Meet the sly magoo! It ain't pretty, but it's my new avatar.
-
I think it works for you.
-
Congrats. U look like a natural.

Looks good! We knew you could do it!

Wish I could see Pics from my BB...(sad face)

Just got my DE, Dr. Harris & Co. w/ Astra Superior Platinum blades. The Col. Conk mug came with some glycerin soap, but I ordered 3 RazoRock Cacao soap as well. The Tweezerman nose hair trimmer was about useless and I haven't gotten my Headblade or my Matte for Men stuff yet.
Shaving a head ain't easy. I took a lot of time yesterday getting sly. This whole grooming bit of mine is a bit ridiculous anyway. I'm OCD and my hair is just a PITA. Now, if I could shave the dog...
;D

Correction, got my Matte for Men stuff.
-
Well, I used my new DE last night. On the face, it was great, but I pretty well hacked up my head! Gues I shoulda waited for the Head Blade!
-
Those D/E's can be brutal.
-
No Head Blade yet. Put some sunscreen on today. Had to check the mail and get the trash out. this sun in Arizona is as brutal as the DE! :'(
-
You're still in your first month of shaving your head, Mr. M. It takes some practice and patience at first. The shave gets faster with time. Hang in there.
-
Still no damned head blade!
-
Maybe it's stuck in customs.
Perhaps the custom's agent wondered what it is and confiscated it to USE it and he likes it.
Oh, that's right. You ARE here in the states. Perhaps the postman really liked it!
-
Now I'm stuck. Took a DE to my head and butchered myself. The DE works great on the face, still a couple o' dings due to my crags, but I'm only trying to take care of about a million things and this shaving takes time. I don't think I want to hack my head again. I'm a bleeder (damned old age!).

Hello there
In my opinion, I think you may be taking things a little too fast. First try a conventional cartridge razor on your dome, then when you have mastered that, try the DE. You may be put off the DE for life if you jump the gun too fast.
-
It came today! It's a tiny thing. I'll try it out tonight during my normal fruitless attempt at getting clean. O0
-
Dunno about this. Shaved last night and took my time, but still gouged my head (couple o' oops!). It's hard being a neat freak when your face and scalp are bleeding! I'm stubborn if I'm nothing else, though. so I'll continue on.
-
Hang in there....remember practice, practice, practice!
-
Take your time with the head blade. It's a different technique. Don't press hard. You don't need to scrape your head with it. Move slowly until you get the hang of it.
-
Take your time... Apply pressure over the wheels, not the over the blade. Rinse the blade after every pass.. Are you going WTG or ATG?
Practice, patience and persistence. Before you know it, it will become second nature. 8)

This is torture for me...
-
Well, did the deed again last night and got better results. Still nicked up a bit, but didn't bleed all over creation and my pillowcase wasn't bloody! O:O
Still takes an age, especially for a fellow with a bad back.
-
Mr Magoo, it will come. You will master it eventually. Look at it as a challenge, Good luck!
-
Well got my stuff (triple blades & Head Slick), but I shaved earlier today before I got it. I don't really like shaving, but I hate hair worse!
-
Glad to hear you are getting better, I have recently started headblading myself, and it really is just a case of taking it nice and easy, and if you feel you need to apply pressure, keep it on the back wheel. Another peace of useful advice I got from the ladies in my shaver shop is to run in straight lines, if you realise you have missed a spot, don't turn back to get it or that is when you nick yourself. Just get it on the next pass.
I hope your next shave is a better experience, especially with your new goodies O0

Back to the torture tonight. :/O
-
Well, I've posted a new pic looking happy. Wish I was. Once again, back to the torture.

When the new 4 blade HeadBlade cartridges come out I highly recommend ordering some immediately. I was lucky enough to get in on the test and had two 4 blade cartridges and two 6 blade cartridges. As someone who still struggles with nicks and gouges using the 3 blade I have to tell you the difference is night and day. The new cartridge is great but what makes it really fabulous is the totally new design adaptor. It is so easy to shave without hurting yourself with the new one! Just take it slow and easy till you have a chance to get the new 4 blade cartridges. I go along with the advice already given. Keep those wheels in contact with your head all the time and make nice straight strokes and really take it easy over the creases and bumps! Hang in there.
