Damned computers. Can't ever seem to get it right the first time. :Xo!
Age is taking its nasty toll and I don't like it! I've never been a hairy guy, but since approaching the 60, everything seems to be getting hairy! I was buzzing my head with an Oster, but it crapped out on me. When I shave with a Gillette Proglide Fusion, it hacks my face! I have scars, also one on my scalp. I've tried Norelco and Remington, neither of which get close enough.
I've perused the forums some, especially the threads dealing with electric shavers and I checked out a bunch on Amazon and the impression I got was they don't make things like they used to. ::) I think the best option for me might be the Head Blade S4, but I did see the Rolling Razor which looked interesting.
I just ordered a wet shaving DE rig from Badger & Blade and I'll see if I can't work with that, but I don't have the confidence to take a DE to my scalp.
:/O in Arizona
Oh, as a PS, I'm going to need a lot of help in caring for my new look.

Hello Magoo, and welcome.
The great thing about Sly is that after a very short learning curve, maintenance is quite straightforward and can be as quick or prolonged as you wish.
Check out the various forums ... lots of great information from great guys. This site offers lots of encouragement, answers and support.

Welcome, mrmagoo! This is a very helpful site that can help you find the tools and technique that you need. Good Luck!

Welcome MrMagoo. If you decide to use the HeadBlade just be sure to go slow and keep the pressure on the wheels, not the blade to avoid nicks. Any questions, just ask away, plenty of people here willing to help

Hi MrMagoo and Welcome - good to have you with us. I started with a Headblade. Found it a bit too aggressive. I thought I was being very careful and cautious. Every time did minor damage. Gave up after a few days and used the same razor I use on my face, a Wilkinson Quattro. It works fine. I get a really smooth head. Never went back to try the Headblade again. Some folk start with the HB and have no troubles. Whatever you use just go gently and carefully to start with and make sure you do good preparation (I use Nivea Sensitive Gel) and good aftercare (I use Aloe Vera gel..

Welcome, mrmagoo. As with all things in your life, you just need to keep trying until you find your own way of getting the job done. In other words, whatever works for you. There are plenty of great head care resources in the forums here. Browse around and ask away. We have a lot of seasoned head shaving experts among us.
It's important not to stress about it. It takes time to get good at taking a sharp blade to your unique skull, no matter who you are.

I'm going to have to wait until the eagle flies to do this right. Meanwhile, I have a singles group tonight that my Mormon neighbors have been egging me into, but I'm pretty scruffy right now. Not too sure about these guys. They're constantly after me and I'm just trying to survive in this place.

Welcome to the bald botherhood mrmagoo.

Well, I didn't go. Don't like being scruffy. Can't hardly wait 'til my stuff gets here. Wait, wait, wait, story of my life these days. :'(
Figured I'd better get with the program, but man, is it ever expensive! O:O
