Hello fellow chrome domes:
What was your dad's after shave when you were a kid. I'll start: I will always remember my dad's top 3 aftershaves that he used in his rotation. Old Spice, English Leather, and Brut by Fabrege. O0
Those 3 are classics. So, how 'bout U? What was your dad's after shave? Old Spice? English Leather? Brut? or something else, what's your story?

Old Spice, with the ship that sails the ocean.
-
Pops Duke was infamous for his Brut!
I remember seeing that green bottle w/the little "tin" sign on it sitting on his bathroom counter ;D

Great question, Warhawk. I cannot remember for the life of me what the brand was, even though I remember enjoying the smell as a kid. I want to say it was a green liquid in a small glass bottle, but I could be thinking of something else. Perhaps absinthe. ;D

Old Spice ... never varied.
Thanks for rekindling the memory.

Dad had three..... Brut, Aqua Velva, and the dreaded Hai-Karate.
-
My dad used Aqua Velva...but I haven't seen him without a beard since 1977 (when I was 4 years old). Knowing my parents, that little bottle of Aqua Velva is probably still in the medecine cabinet.

Mother was allergic to all scents, thus NO aftershave or any perfumed cosmetics were permitted in the house. As a school teacher, my father was given many bottles of cologne or after shave. All were given away to others after a polite thank you was given.
I like Calvin Klein "Eternity" and "Eternity Summer".

It was Old Spice. I referred to it as "Old Scheiss".

I am loving all your comments and U are all taking me back 2 memory lane when I was a kid. :) Please keep it coming, I would love 2 hear more of your stories. O0

Dad doesn't wear any, never has, but my Granddad always wore Old Spice or Aqua Velva and I remember it well. Also, he did a lot of exterior woodwork and always smelled like creosote, their whole house did... love that smell.

My dad is in the local police force and I recall having a steady supply of Brute in those green bottles in our bathroom shelf. I really liked the smell then. I don't know if it is still available today.

I don't know if this counts as aftershave, but my dad used Vitalis a lot...though I did see some Brut 33 occasionally..

Yup... Just saw some on the shelf at the grocery store this evening! LOL!

Before my dad grew out his awesomely full beard (which I envy) he would use Brut or Old Spice aftershave.
-
My father was a major fan of Brut. Seeing any of the green cylindrical items was not uncommon growing up. Ironically, I don't like aftershave.
-
Good old old spice.
Happy fathers day to all the Dads.

My dad used "Pub" by Revlon as well as Tabac. I wonder what aftershave my daughter will remember me by? My collection is suddenly growing since I have discovered that A/S gives my dome a fantastic healthy looking shine. So I doubt she will associate me with one particular A/S scent.

Aqua Velva, Old Spice. And for cheaper items still poplular with the older crowd. I prefer Ultimo, BenchmarK. Just kicking back Aqua Velva tightens the face and scull cap.

English Lather, Dakar Nore
