Helo to all SBG, I am new just joined in last week. Have been reading some of the discussions and getting more into it. I had shaved my head last year for a good cause ie for a charity drive for children cancer society. I kept my head clean shaved for six months. Then let it grow for another six months to participate in that drive again. Now I am SBG, shaving everyday. I am thinking to go further this time after reading some of the postings. May consider going for permanent bald using tweezing or laser. But guess my wife will not agree. I am trying to tweeze slowly to make my hair line retreat like naturally. Any advice??? :/O

FrontierGuy, Thks for the support. Sure like to participate actively n learn more from the experienced SBG. I had ordered an epilator and hope when it comes, I can try to do a gradual retreating hair line. It would be hard to have a full head done as many ppl would notice it and the pain that I have to endure. Anyway, will try to follow the Norwood Chart. Any advice as to how to go about it?
Thanks to others too for their supportive notes.

Personally this wouldn't be my approach. First I don't have the patience, and really not the desire to to endure the discomfort.
Besides, the morning head shave has become a very important part of my daily routine. It's that very small bit of time I devote to taking care of myself - both physically and mentally. I wouldn't give that up.
But to each his own. Good luck with whatever avenues you choose.

Welcome to the group. I am relatively new here also. Great info and support on this site. I prefer shaving my head daily, I am clean shaven on face for work... so it goes hand in hand. Good Luck O:O

Welcome aboard

Welcome, sir. I'm not sure I agree with the methods of hair removal you are mentioning, but of course you should do what will make you feel good about yourself in the end.
Just because I'm curious, I'm going to ask: You don't enjoy the act of shaving your noggin?

Welcome to SBG.

Welcome! I think most of us here just shave it with a razor and cream (or gel...or what-have-you) but to each his own. If you're asking for advice, mine would be to just shave it. As some of the guys have said, it becomes a normal, even pleasurable, part of your daily routine.
Best to you.

Welcome to the forum. Just enjoy the shave, forget about the tweezing.

Hi & welcome to this great forum. You will get lots of encouragement to stay bald-by-choice here & also some great advice.
I have tried using an epilator, & yes, it is painful to begin with but does move things along a bit faster if you are determined to be completely bald & no turning back. One thing I will say is that hair will grow back, albeit, sparser & finer.
Personally, I am now used to the daily shave after having completed the 30-day-rule challenge. I look forward to having a smooth & shiny dome every day now. It is definitely the way to go.
Best wishes,
Bilko

First of all, welcome! Good work shaving for a good cause. My guess is you're BBC, if that is the case, I'd say don't laser anything or do anything to mess with your hairline. Sly is a great look, but it's always an option. There might come a day when you want hair again and you'll be kicking yourself for getting your lovely locks all lazed off. I would probably still have my viking look I was rocking a year ago if my hair wasn't thinning so much, but I love the sly look just as much so it's all good. Anyway, your decision, best of luck and Welcome!

Thank you all for posting and giving advice. I will take them into consideration. Somehow, my order for an epilator came in and now I am playing with it. As planned, I had to wait for a few days to grow back the hair and took off some hairs to reduce the hairline. Guess will have to wait and see what is next. Yes, it was a bit painful, guess I can take it without problem. But I will not have the gut to do the whole head yet. From the mirror, it looks a bit weird. Hopefully, no one will take note of it. I will take some pictures for record. Guess, I may have to shave after this too. #3w

Helo guys, I am back after toyying with my epilator. Will also like u guys to see the difference. 2 pictures one before and one after. U do notice some differences and hope u can comments which are welcome.

If it works for you, that's great.
Personally I really enjoy the daily morning shave (the whole ritual and the transformation from scruffy to smooth); the epilator would die of loneliness around here.

It is hard to tell which is the before and after.

1st picture is the after, see the deeper hair line n the thin hair at the back. I dont know I logged the 1st picture last but it came out 1st. Will post some more after I edited them as posting only allow small file.
