New to the SBG site. Glad I found it.
I've battled with seborrheic dermatitis for a long time, and none of the medications or anything else ever worked. I saw some posts here about going sly to improve scalp health, so I gave it a go last night.
I'll post before and after pics and also try to chronicle my SD progress visually, even though it might gross some people out. I hope that it helps others who are considering chroming the dome for the same reason.

SD Day 1: You can see it is pretty pink from irritation related to shaving, I assume.

SD Day 2: Not quite as pink, but some small white flakes (or something) clearly visible when closeup.

Welcome to SBG jedijoe.

Hey Joe,
I also dealt with SD during my life, though did not have the larger spots you had. One piece of advice...STICK WITH IT. O0
Those spots should eventually go away, and you'll enjoy a pain-free, itch-free scalp.
In addition to applying a post shave moisturizer, I'd recommend washing the dome sometime during the day while you're transitioning to the sly side of life.
Good Luck.

Oh, those yellow spots? Yeast....splash a little vinegar on it. It'll sting for a little, but worth it.
-
Thanks, schro... I'll keep at it. I wash and moisturize daily. I've also been experimenting with vinegar and water (50/50) solution to try and kill the yeast. I imagine that's what the white spots might be, but I really don't know for sure. I started that this morning.
I'll keep trying to chronicle the experience and see where this takes me.

SD Day 3. I had a little stubble from my first shave, so I decided to clean that up today. Got a very nice, close shave, and the SD is looking a lot better. SD's color is fading considerably. There is some natural sensitivity of the skin, but it didn't hurt to shave this morning like it did the other day.

Welcome. I hope the shaving helps relieve your SD.

Welcome to the SLY side of life! I hoped Schro would chime in on this once I read you had SD. It always helps to get info first hand from someone who has been in your position (or still is).
Stick it out for at least the 30 days, you won't regret it!
