Title: Best shave of my experience so far (15th shave)
Post by: JuniorNA on May 19, 2012, 07:29:13 PM
Been shaving for 30 days. About 15 shaves and the best shave came ONLY After I used st Ives apricot scrub (invigorating exfoliant) before a shave. I got the smoothest shave I've ever felt or seen. Smooth all over even when I rubbed hard with absolutely no irritation.

So I figured 2 things

I'm either getting used to it; or it was the apricot scrub that brought the hairs out. It could have been less passes since I'm getting used to it as well.
All in all though , just wanted to share that I'm happy with my first perfect shave (in my opinion of course)

Head slick during, Nivea after shave balm, and bump stopper 2 after that to finalize btw.

Congrats! Isn't it fun experimenting and discovering new things that get you the smooth, shiny head that you seek?

I personally think the exfoliating helps heaps!

Makes me want to head to the shower now, get out a new blade and shave smooth for Sunday church.

Lol. I agree as well. I shaved again after the first post and got the same close shave as before. It's gotta be the scrub plus getting used to shaving.

I love it. I think I can finally start shaving in mornings before work without the worry of redness and irritation

You speak my language.

Maintaining that perfect sly look is like a hobby.

Yeah my wife just calls me an OCD maniac cause I'm really into the dome shaving now. I really hope I don't get bored with it and get lazy. The only thing is I have to get better and do it in mornings.

Otherwise , if I shave at night I am not smooth in the morning. (hairy Italian)

I have found that exfoliating is a huge help. I would suggest every other day though to get the best results

Exfoliating before soaping with glycerine soap prepares my head perfectly before a head and face shave.

I love variety in my shave den, and a quality exfoliation is in my every other day routine.

I am definately OCD about being sly, shaving daily at present. My aim is a perfect pate, I'll get there, and enjoy the ride along the way!
