Who's gonna claim the coveted title this year? Being from San Antonio, I'm going with my Spurs...

Dey say a series ain't a series until the road team wins a game....thought that the most exciting game was Orlando stealing one from Indiana until the Meltdown in Memphis tonight...Interesting to see how the Bulls make out without D-Rose...Buckling my seat belt and hanging onto my hat for this year's playoffs!

Can't believe Memphis let the Clips come back lime that... SMH. I hated to see D-Rose go down like that! Looks like Miami has got the East on lock down now... At least my Spurs won!!!

Go Lakers and Clippers! And what an amazing comeback by the Clips last night. This has been the most exciting year EVER in L.A. basketball history!  :D

Oh, and on the NHL side, Go L.A. KINGS!!!  O0

My pick was chicago but with d-rose out with an acl injury;  I think the heat will take it all in a close series vs the oklahoma city.

Yesterday was not a good day for LA fans...that said I'm looking forward to a presumed Thunder/Spurs conference finals. I see the West Champion winning it all; the remaining East teams are too inconsistent IMO

I'm thinking it will be the Thunder in the West but the East is still up in the air. Go Sixers.

As an Angeleno, I can say it wasn't thrilling to watch both teams squander leads, but I never expected either of them to defeat the Spurs and Thunder. In fact, outside of the home-town Lakers and Clippers, I really like the Spurs, and am rooting for them to win it all. Don't want to see the ThunderSonics win it.

Besides in L.A., we have the KINGS!!!! :D O0 :@`

My guess is also that the Western Conference Champion will go and win it all, and I believe it will be the OKC Thunder. The Heat have a tough game today...if they win they can surely get it all done, but if they loose another to the Pacers....goodbye

My Spurs look good...BUT...OKC is a viable threat. I really hope they put the Lakers to bed tonite. (sorry LA fans, Clips are on vacay, Lakers are getting ready to join 'em)
As far as the East...up in the air. We'll see soon enough!

Never expected my L.A. teams to advance any further. Knew this once they both won the last series'. It was awesome having two teams in at the same time IN the second round. A never-before in L.A. basketball history.

Pretty cool to have 8 of our 9 pro teams playing at the same time, also something that's never happened before.

After winning 20 games in a row, the streak was bound to end, but I still believe the Spurs are the best team in the NBA and will end up in the finals. They are just too good a team to blow it, unless they implode.

Though I'm a Laker (and Clipper) fan, I really respect (and like) the Spurs - constant winners, 4-time champions (possible a 5th this year), consistency for decades, and the model for sustained success. All from a small, 1 Big-4-league team market. O0

Go SPURS!

I will say that there was plenty of fan support here for the Sonics!  But the politicians here at that time were whacked!  They did not appreciate the value of the team.  But while I like a lot of what Starbucks does (I am a former employee), Schultz should have been public about wanting to sell the team.  That way a local group could have had a chance to buy the team!  Our current politicans are working on a new arena deal.  If we ever get the NBA back, sadly it will probably by stealing someone else's team!  Sacramento has come up in that conversation!

I still stand by my prediction on the Miami Heat to win in 7 but it is gonna be tough.  I thought that the Heat could at least steal game 1.   Durant and Westbrook  combined for a great game.  LBJ hit his usual 30 pts 9 rebounds.  Battier had a good game but DWade didn't show up IMO.  LBJ needs Dwade and CB to show up if they want to win.  Game 2 is crucial for the Heat.

Btw... just finished listening to your podcast TW.  Good job.  On a side note, I agree with your assessment on Dwade.  He has not been playing like an all-star (don't know why).   I respectfully disagree with your OKC prediction but I definitely understand your rationale.  That's what I love about sports. I think OKC showed last night they have the ability to easily come from behind, which they also did consistently against the Spurs. The size and length of their starting five clearly caused problems for LeBron and Wade late in the game. Westbrook took over and played like an elite PG when they needed him most in the 4th quarter.

Going to be a great series and I'm sticking to my prediction of OKC in 6.

BTW, teams that win game 1 win the series 72% of the time.  O0

Series tied at one a piece.  Lebron finally got some help.  Dwade and CB showed up.  Battier did his job on the three point line.  It's gonna be a great series. O0

I agree...... YAWN...... the NBA is sort of like hockey but on boards instead of ice. LOOOOOOOOONG and boring seasons.

I LOVE hoops.... but the college variety. I don't think the NBA game is good to watch.

Another exciting game last night... Lebron had another great game with 29 points and 14 rebounds and DWade finally showed up and had 25pts, 7 rebounds, 7 assists.  Heat take a 2-1 lead in this 7 game series.

OKC made a few inexperience type mistakes and it cost them. Hope they can do better tonight. Shane Battier is becoming a pain in the butt from beyond the arc.

Looking to see if OKC can make better in-game adjustments, first with Brooks not putting Durant on LBJ most of the game which is why he is picking up stupid fouls.

OKC has to play this game as if it's a game 7. They have to win!!

Previously I picked Miami to win in 7; however, after watching all the games I think Miami will win it in 5 games.  Lebron is playing in "beast mode" and is finally getting help from Dwade, Battier, and last night Chalmers had 25 points.  When Lebron gets help Miami is unbeatable.  If OKC wins Thursday, I think Miami wins in 7 games but I seriously don't think that will happen.  South Beach will be partying Thursday night.  But this is sports... U never know what's gonna happen.   However, that is my prediction and I'm sticking by it.

Miami will probably win it at home. What's the deal with Harden guarding James. That doesn't make any sense. Oh well whatever.

Monster game by Westbrook last night, too bad it was for naught....Durant and James were, well, Durant and James. Harden was a virtual no-show for the second straight game....OKC fouls at the most inopportune time in both games three and four. Miami did "steal" game two, can't be mad at them for taking advantage....I think Miami finishes the deal tomorrow night, they would want to....Seattle fans may get their wish after all; frankly Cleveland and Seattle fans need to just grow up and get over it...No offense to residents of those cities that may be on this forum, just saying you have to let go and move on...my 0.02.
