Title: Greetings
Post by: Electric Rider on April 23, 2012, 08:54:30 PM
Hi folks, I'm Electric Rider.

I'm bald by choice for the second time. Perhaps this time it will last longer than a year. Went bald the first time because my woman kept teasing me about this little bald spot I was getting in the middle of my head. I thought, " I'll show her!" Yeah right. She loved it and has begged me to go bald again since I started letting it grow last winter.

Well there's the bald spot then there is the thinning hair and no more bangs. I used to have really long heavy metal hair like the kind a rock star would have in the 80's. If I had my wish, I'd want my head banging hair back but I know that will never happen so for me going sly is my way of fighting hair loss. Plus those hair transplants are so darn expensive and Rogain's side effects.. well.. That's not a good trade off.

I'm called Electric Rider for my two beloved hobbies. I ride an Electric Bike and use an Electronic Cigarette.

Glad to be here. Love the advice.

OK, so you know what it's like to be sly.

Now, time to keep it that way.  Nothing like a fresh smooth shave and then a head rub.

And don't forget some head shine to make it glossy!

Thanks everyone ! You guys really make a guy feel welcome.

I think a lot of people in our society look at bald men as hoodlums and such. Stereotypes.. who needs em. You guys bust those myths wide open.

I'll try to get my pic up tonight after I shave again.

Welcome Electric, you've come to the right place. Sounds like you're liking the smooth, shaved dome, and you have a woman who loves and encourages it, so what more do you need?

Stick with shaving; no rugs, plugs or drugs!  O0

Welcome!....Electronic Bike, Electronic cigarette....are you an electric shaver too by chance?

Also to Mr Jules and Baldchav ..

Yes, bald is Electrifying. I think it sets a man ( or woman) apart from the rest of the pack. It's stylish, not bad for your health and says your not afraid of what people think of you. Good for character building.

SirHarry, I do use a Norelco rotary to get the hair down close for those times I let it get too long between shaves. Then I follow it up with a disposable blade. So I guess I'm electric in all 3 respects.

Baldchav, I agree with the electric bike being good for the environment. That did play a part in my decision to get one but I mainly did it because it beats the hell out of buying gas at today's prices. I'm on a tight budget.

I plan to make a few threads about the bike and my other hobby the electronic cigarette. Watch for em if you like folks. I also wanna make a thread about sharpening your razor blades as there are a few interesting methods I'd like to get you folks thoughts on.

Here's a little primer for the electric bike (sorry folks, I'm a post junkie) It's a 750 watt front wheel hub motor driven toy, powered by a 48 volt 20 ah battery pack, on a men's 26 inch bike frame. This has largely replaced my car for getting around town and is a blast to ride. It has a top speed of 28 mph and a 20 mile round trip between charges. Charging the battery costs pennies a day and takes a few hours. With me on it the bike can carry an extra 50 lbs of groceries so it works well for short trips to the store. I get plenty of strange looks going almost 30 mph on a bike - with no peddling.

BTW Baldchav I'm a HUGE Dr. Who,Torchwood and Blake's 7 fan.

It's funny you know because there are things about the UK television and movies that need to be experienced by Americans IMO and as you know Hollywood takes all the credit for top movies.. I think a lot of it is hype and personal preference.

I grew up with Dr. Who, Blakes 7, Monty Python, The Young Ones even The Tomorrow People and have a love for British sci-fi and comedy. I have access to the American version of the BBC and can even get streaming BBC right from the UK at times over the net. Many Americans have no idea what quality television they are missing.

I'm a Cajun, meaning my ancestors came from Arcadia/Nova Scotia area and love in Louisiana close to New Orleans.  We love our fish and chips done with Cajun spices and seasonings in a deep fried batter. I have often wanted to move to London and open up a Cajun style fish and chips shop. Sorry, no vinegar for me.  :XX but I think you folks would like the change now and then.
