hey guys coming to the end of my first week of ehad shaving (started last friday) i started pretty bad with a fair fewcuts and awful razor burn. reaching the end of this week my head feels alot smoother then before with only 1 or 2 fuzzy bits (behind ear and at the bottom of the back of my head) and very minor razor burn due to going over these areas trying to get the last fuzzy bits :) hopefully comes with time :) been using a gillette fusion power but swapping to a mach3 tomorrow due to good reviews :)

Each shave gets better. It'll take several weeks for the razor burns to fade away. You scalp will toughen up. You'll also get the hang of making fewer shaving passes, too. Behind the ears is always a problem for me too.
I've used the mach 3 and like it. Less burn and smoother result. Be careful though - you have to so gentle with the mach 3. Found it can give me nicks. Absolutely no pressure at all. None !
Happy balding !

You'll probably keep that grey shadow look. Don't worry about it. Everyone else sees a completely bald bloke.

Regarding the "grey head" - you'll always have it until your hair goes grey or white with age! The roots of the hair are still there and active, hence the grey.
Shaving gets easier and faster with practice. You'll find a technique that works for you and the little strays will be a thing of the past. Also, your scalp will toughen up and the razor burn will be a thing of the past. Give it a little time.

This is what we like to hear. Give a few more weeks and you'll forget what you looked like when you had hair.

I have to agree with all the guys here, you'll get used to it shortly. One week -- you're right where you should be. Good attitude too, Shane.
As for the shadow, you are your own worst critic. Others will see you as bald. I've only skipped one day since going bald. I felt all the fuzz that day, but no one noticed. I'm just so close that I notice.
Welcome to bald for life.
