I just discovered this wonderful website.  I took the plunge and started shaving my head about 10 days ago, I really like it thus far.  I lurked for awhile before joining and prior to shaving my head.  The advice on here was really helpful to me in selection the Gillete Fusion and the full line of Headblade products for my first few shaves.  I'm pretty much a daily shaver now as I really enjoy the smooth feel of a just shaved head.

welcome Chill! I'm a barber and I use the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power! I suggest you use a gillette fusion for a good three weeks then use a HeadBlade! Do you need any help with the website or forums? Also if you have any question ask away! do you have any sir?

Actually, I do have one question.  I have been using Nivea Sensitive-Skin after shave balm.  I notice about 3 hours after I apply it (subsequent to shaving) it starts to sort of ball up and leave a residue on my scalp.  Is there a different moisturizer you could recommend that wouldn't cause this problem?

If you like a great shine on the dome, Fruit of the Earth Aloe is awesome.   None greasy and doesn't leave any residue.   And keeping it in the fridge for a fresh blast after shaving is great.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!  Paul, there seems to be a bewildering array of Fruit of the Earth aloe.  Do you recommend the cream, gel, spray, etc?

hey chiboxer:  welcome 2 the sly fraternity.  glad that ya joined us & glad that u are liking your new look.  if u are gonna try the aloe... try using the clear gel.

I use the clear gel as do several of the other members.   You can get it at Walmart.  I think you will like the results.
