Title: Apple Safari browser for PC?
Post by: buddha on April 04, 2012, 09:24:01 AM
Does anybody use this on their PC? Opinions?
Every time I get an update for iTunes I also have the option of getting Safari. I've been holding off because I'm not familiar with it. Explorer doesn't create any problems for me and I should probably leave well enough alone. But being a risk taker I must say that I'm intrigued.

I'm an Explorer guy and you are probably right to leave well enough alone but what the hell. I've never tried it but have heard good things about it. Let us know how you make out.

I have not downloaded it yet. I'm waiting to get some reviews before I do something I might regret.

hey. it's pro. It's using too much of the pc resources, though.
I stick to Opera :)

I'm a huge fan of Chrome, so I'm going to stick to that.  Though, I might download Safari to see how some of my websites render in it while developing them.

I use Safari as my my main browser, but on a Mac, not a PC. I'm not sure how the quality of the PC version stacks up.

And as a web professional, I'll say the same thing I tell all my friends: get off Explorer. Do it now. Waiting until it lets something take over your system is too late.

If you've upgraded to IE9, then I could let it slide -- it's the first version of IE that isn't a complete streaming pile.

I'm a fan of Chrome also. Much faster browser than IE.

I am long time Mac user and use Safari.  I have many of the other browsers but stick to safari as it is integrated  with other Mac programs, mail, address book, iTunes etc.   IE is no longer updated for Mac.

Oh, I quite like Firefox. Feels kind of funky. Think it's prone to crashing. Struggled with Safari. To me. the options aren't well layed out. Mind you, I'm getting older and may need some kind of home help care package.  ;D

Microsoft hasn't updated IE for Mac since version 5.5 (:o) so it's beyond ancient.
