Post by: blondeguy on May 05, 2007, 09:11:32 PM
A DOVO Stainless Steel "Head Shaver" razor from Solingen, Germany.  Available at www.classicshaving.com:

(https://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg79.imageshack.us%2Fimg79%2F525%2Fheadshaver4ku1.th.jpg&hash=dda35fd84eb0862131e849ec2139270033c76639) (http://img79.imageshack.us/my.php?image=headshaver4ku1.jpg)

I wonder what cartridges it takes? :P

Damn dude, that's crazy looking. I think it looks uncomfortable to use, but I'd kinda like to try it just once.

hmm..doesnt look any crazier than the headblade...actually looks alot more functional without the probability of the wheels falling off....would love to to try it out.

Man, if it'd take the right blades I think it looks bitchen!   O0

There I go giving up my age again!    ;D

I just found this review: http://www.headshaver.org/reviews/razor_dovoheadshaver.html

It uses Merkur, Gillette or Schick pivoting twin-blade cartridges.  I'll keep mt HeadBlade Sport!

Wow, I was wondering when someone would try to challenge the HeadBlade.  Figures it would be the company that supplies HeadBlade with their adapters.  Though, from the HeadShaver.org it does sound like the HeadBlade still wins in functionality.  It would be interesting to try it a few times.

This has been available for a few years.  I remember reading a review on it way back when I got my first Headblade and that was at least two years ago, maybe three.  I don't know which product came first though.  The reviewer didn't particularly care for the dovo.

According to that review, this device's only point of contact is the blade.  Part of the HeadBlade's effectiveness is that rear contact which lets the blades tilt and angle properly.  I have a feeling this thing would nick me to no end.
