Title: Cuts by Chemo
Post by: SunNeverSets on February 21, 2012, 07:13:24 PM
Hey guys!
I'm going through my second bout with cancer, and this time the hair went completely. I'm definitely not BBC, but I'm happy to be sly nonetheless. I'm definitely in over my shiny bald head on this one, so I'll definitely need help figuring out the tricks of the sly trade. Cheers!

Well, I would like to welcome you to Sly Bald Guys!  First, I should say that you have the head suited for slyness.  While I have never had cancer,  you will find this to be a place that will be very supportive of you and your slyness and your cancer battle.  I hope you will be a active part of this group!  Again, welcome!

Welcome and best of luck with the battle you're facing.  If there's anything we can do to help, please let us know.

The circumstances that resulted in your slyness were less than ideal, but you do have a good looking dome.

First of all, however you got here, Welcome! You're doing the best thing you can do for yourself and that's accepting the circumstances and trying to better it. And here's another great service you're doing and that's making a positive example of yourself for others who got chemo-ized themselves. Sir, you've already won most of the battle with humour and grace. You have just found a group of men who will do everything they can to help you. And, again, Thank You for reaching out to others by slapping a smile on your face and a shine on your head.

Glad to have you here. As a hospice nurse, I see people with cancer all the time who have lost their fight due to the fact that he or she stopped fighting and didn't put their faith in the right person. The patient placed his or her faith in the doctor instead of the One who created all life. Remember to put your faith in the Almighty One and all will be fine. I'm praying for you.--S Hagler RN BSN (hotRN)   C*f3

I haven't been around much of late, but I had to respond.

Welcome to SBG, a great community here. I have also faced cancer, and the chemo hair loss was the push I needed to shave the rest of my hair off. I beat the cancer, and ended up loving the shaved dome so much that I keep shaving to this day, nine years later.

Keep a positive attitude, and you can beat this. Prayers with you!
