Hi I am Jeremy, and I am Bald by Choice.
Through out my life, I have had various hair styles. From long hair that ran 3/4 of the way down my back to the shortest setting on the clippers and everything in between. The only thing I had never done was shave it to the skin bald.
I started toying with the idea and gradually dropped hints to the wife and kids. All the wife ever said was "No." Never any discussion, or other talk about the issue. Always just... "no."
This past weekend, It was time to trim the hair down as it had gotten a little unkept. Again, I was content at a peach fuzzy length and figured I was done. Bored, late on Saturday night I began googling "how to shave my head" and found.. well.. Sly Bald Guys! The rest is history!
Sunday afternoon, while The Wife was at work (forgiveness over permission), I enlisted the aid of my youngest daughter, pulled out the clippers and buzzed that beast down as far as the clippers would allow. Soaked my head with a hot wash cloth for a few minutes, and using The Wife's conditioner and single blade Bic Stick, entered The Sly!
Today, I have spent most of the day playing with the smooth contours of my bald scalp and have noticed the stubble growing back in, which has an interesting feel on it's own! I also ran out to my local grocer and picked up a four pack of disposable Mach 3 blades. Considering the cost, I figure this is a good way to work the 30 Days, and if I decide to continue from there (VERY likely!), I'll invest in a more permanent method.
Speaking to the 30 days, I have not and will not shave today, considering the time I shaved it yesterday, but daily shaving will begin tomorrow morning.
My children, both daughters, LOVE the new look and are constantly rubbing my head. As for the wife, well... Her constant stares, name calling, and general suspicion of my true intentions in the first 24 hours pretty much speak for itself. I am sure she will eventually come around. If for no other reason then I have never felt sexier in my life, which will translate well for her!
Thanks for having me! I can't wait to contribute in any way I can! Rawk on!

Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome--but you may want to rethink the investment in a decent razor, easy to use like a Fusion or Hydro 5--the difference will amaze you and you may avoid an unnecessary bloody incident.
-
Welcome. You're a great story teller.
-
Regardless of what the wife :px thinks, the look suits you well. Welcome to the board.
-
And I agree with saintc. A real Mach 3 isn't going to set you back much, and may save whatever the stitches are going to cost.

Thanks guys!
The wife is actually coming around. Helping me from a fashion sense. Sly Guy Fashion? Whatever... she's having fun with it as she accepts it.
Look forward to seeing you all around!

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you're off to a good start with your smoothness. The Mach III disposables are good and will work fine for now, but you should pick up the regular stick razor.
Mach III's are still very affordable in price, as are the replacement cartridges.
Good to hear the wife is coming around, sounds like she was outnumbered anyway, lol.
Enjoy your shaved dome and the exploration that comes with it. O0
