The topic says it all!
For some reason, I can not upload it as my avatar, so I'm showing it to you this way. You can also find in the pic gallery ( when and if it will be aproved).

Beautiful picture Paul. Your head is really not meant for hair. :)

sly guy, is the right guy O0

Nice pic, indeed.
Is it too big for an avatar, or what else can the matter be?
-
Great photo, iRock...reduce the size and use it.

Your photo needs to be less than about 50K for an avitar. At 65K or so, they refuse to upload.
If you need a program to re-size pictures, check out irfanview. It's a free download for Windows computers.
If you use Linux, then use the command line, 'convert'. Lots of man pages on the web about how to use convert.

thanks for apreciateing!
well, not the size is the matter, I've already resized it and I get the same result... I'll insist more.

Glad to see someone who has some idea about Linux. :} I am a Debian addict!
I would recommend GIMP to resize/manipulate images: it is free to download, multi-platform (Windows, all kinds of Linux and *nix), and it can be used for many different tasks. I work with it every day.

Ravenangel,
convert -thumbnail x300 DSCF3887.JPG YellowTieProfileT.jpg
A command line slick and quick. No need for a mouse. This took a 1.6 Meg photo and shrunk it to about 15K. It's my current profile picture. Love the command line. I use Ubuntu on almost all of my computers. Centos on the servers.

Yeah, I do love the commandline too! If I can solve something with CLI, I will not turn to any graphical fancy-pancy thing (when moving/arranging files, uploading on ftp or similar.) But since I do design, I need the mouse...
I have heard many good reviews on CentOS, though I have never tried it. Ubuntu is very beginner-friendly, but it also fulfills the needs of advanced users.

Baldness is the only "hair style" for me, too.
