Title: What a surprise!
Post by: mrzed on January 21, 2012, 01:07:28 PM
I shaved my head bald for the first time on Thursday morning.  I have three mid-20's daughters and a wife who live at home with me.

Today is Saturday.  Daughter #1, JUST TODAY  asked me if I had shaved my head? It looks shorter than usual.  How funny is that.

She has been walking past me for three days and just now noticed!  And the other two daughters, if they noticed, have yet to say anything!

Daughter #2 just noticed!  She dropped her jaw and said, did you do that 'today' now that mother is gone?

No, you've not noticed for 3 days!

I think so, Rock.  But I was buzzing no guard the past month, so the switch to sly was not an noticeable as going from an inch of hair to nothing.  Maybe that helped.

He-he, this story shows the advantages of choosing a gradual change (instead of being too drastic.) Your environment has gotten used to your outlook, so they could not see a too big difference. This can prevent you from awkward situations.
My boyfriend  says he did it more drastically, and this resulted in
a.) Comments like "You look like a nazi";
b.) Some of his acquaintances not recognizing him.

Great story. There were a few people in my life who didn't notice. That's funny.

Actually, I was thinking of this this morning.  The youth pastor's wife (he shaved HIS head), talked with me at length and FINALLY noticed that I had shaved my head ... after I mentioned it!  She completely missed it.

Daughter #3 noticed today because another daughter pointed it out .... but all three girls missed it for days!

This has been so much fun.

That's too funny!! Sounds like it's a keeper if people didn't notice the change:)

They'll get used to it in no time, especially since you kept a close haircut for a long time!
