Hey, guys. Just did the deed on Sunday. Love the way it feels, need to get some sun. Anyway, I've been thinking about it for about 5 years or so, then my wife said she noticed a mark on top of my head she hadn't seen before. When I looked in the mirror at the top of my head, my decision was made right then and there. When your receding hair line meets the bald spot in the back, it's time to do it. Love reading about all the products and different experiences you all have had. I will have that mark looked at, by the way. Easier to see it now. Looking forward to soaking up all of your knowledge concerning care of the dome. Briggs.

Welcome Briggs, good to have you join us. You made the right decision in shaving it off. With time you will get a more even skin tone between scalp and face, and it's healthier if you get some natural sun over tanning booths.
Definitely make sure you have a dermatologist take a look at that spot, better to be safe and know if it needs further attention.

Good move, and you're spot on target about it's time when the hairline meets the vortex ;D.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. It's been 5 days - still love it. "Came out" to all my friends and family. Most everyone is supportive and like the look. Funny how many guys I know said they should do it too but don't have the balls. LOL Love using the witch hazel after shaving. Thanks for that little tip. I've been eyeing some new headwear, too. I've always been a baseball cap/golf hat wearer, but now I feel I want to dress up the noggin a little bit. Yours in bald solidarity. Briggs.
