Hey guys,
I've been wanting to shave my head for a while, and I finally did it. Kind of a crazy impulse, but so it goes. Here it is.
-
Keep sly for 30 day, you'll love it
-
Awesome!! thats what got me hooked to it!!
-
awesome! Congratz!
-
cool 30days then life O0 :D
-
Congrats. Keep it shaved.
-
That's great, keep it smooth for the thirty days now. How do you like it so far?
-
Looks Awesome ! Congrats ! You have that true "I Finally Did It Look" of satisfaction !
-
Looks awesome man, keep it shaved for 30 day and you won't go back to hair. I've been bald for 3 1/2 years and still going.
-
Two thumbs up. You wear bald really well...hope you keep it.
-
Hey, nice haircut! It looks like a keeper and I see you are truly BBC as you have a shadow.
I just returned to chromedome yesterday. Went by a empty barbershop and impulsively went in and ask if they shaved. Left a smoothy and reshaved last night and first thing this morning. Ahhhhh
We see how long I keep it, but you should keep yours for sure!
Bald Again Bill

Looks good. Keep it sly.
-
I agree with everyone. Looks great.
-
Thanks guys. I got through the first day of work... my students didn't particularly care, but some colleagues were kind of jerks about it. So it goes.
-
well done and welcome!
-
The point is do you enjoy it and like it ? It looks good on you.
-
but some colleagues were kind of jerks about it.
Just remember if you are happy, they don't matter. But, if they had emerging or established issues with mpb, although a pathetic response, it may indicate a touch of envy >:D.
-
Handsome guy - - -now enjoy it.
-

I hadn't thought about that... but now that you mention it, I'm realizing that you're probably right.
Also, I'm seeing now that people's responses to my hair reflect much more on them than they do on me. That can be hard to see in the moment.
-
Dude-you are rockin' the sly look. Welcome to the bald brotherhood!
-
You all look great. Stay sly and welcome to SBG.
-

Oh, yeah--did we tell you it was addictive? >:D

It looks great. Keep it up.

Looks good

Congrats! It looks good.

I've taken the plunge again. Day 2. I've been shaving my head on and off since 1995. At other times, have a skinhead / buzzcut - mainly now to conceal the grey hair and receding hair line. The only thing which usually makes me grow it back is the comments from work place colleagues.
I'd like to keep the bald look. Shaving my head takes about 5 mins and is easy enough - except behind and above the ear, where I nearly always get razor burns.
Recently, I've had my hair so short, that no one really noticed the complete bald look - unless they aren't telling me.
-

Good for you. The 30 day rule is really good so you give yourself the time to adjust. It seems like you really like it though so best of luck.
-
welcome Mr Jules!
-
Thanks.
Think I will have to find some advice on minimizing those razor burns !
-
Prep work to soften hair....shave in the shower....try Shave Secret oil under your lather.....alum block after the shave .......ditch the multi track or elecrtic and try a DE but you will knick youself a few times in the learning curve....an aftershave balm....only shave with the grain in the problem areas for at least a month or 2 to let the skin heal and toughen up a bit.....witch hazel splashed on the areas after shaving....better prep work....better prepwork...
-
Welcome back to the darkside! ;D
-
So far, nobody has commented on my bald look - at least not publicly. Which I think is a good thing !
Prior to the bald look, for the last 17 odd years, I've had a skinhead, which everyone liked. More recently, I've had a number 1 or number 2. So I guess the bald look looks a natural progression.

My experience, too. I was clippering to #1 or no guard for a number of months before shaving bald. Not many comments on the change.
Looks good, buddy. Keep it shaved for 30 days and you'll likely not want to return to anything else.
-
Yep, I do like the look and feel of the bald look.
The test comes next week, when I have job interviews. Do go turn up with the new look ?
-
thanks guys... i let it grow in for a week, but i just shaved it again.
InProgress ... it gets addicting, doesn't it. Something very satisfying about a smooth head.
-
Day 3. And the shave this morning was the best. No nicks. And the razor burns are disappearing.

Are you using witch hazel after you shave? If not I would recommend it. 8)

Not using witch hazel. Why do recommend it ?
(learning as I go here...)
-
Trying out a #1 buzz... what do you think?
-
You can keep it either way, at least you can alternate the two looks. I usually do the same during the cooler months, but in Summer I shave daily most of the time. It's nice to have the option.
-
I think both look good but shaved looks better. You look much more interesting (in a good way).
-
The sly look is more distinguished on you.

It soothes the head and helps prevent irritation.

Now been using witch hazel for a few days now. I've noticed the difference. Thanks for the tip !

That is the haircut that that I had during the second half of 2011. I like it very much.
-
For InProgress - the buzz looks ok but I hope you go back to go back to shaved bald.
-
Hi InProgress. The Sly Bald look really suits you. You have a great head shape and you carry off the Sly look so well. Guess you must do what you are happy with, but, for what it's worth, I'd say keep the Sly Bald look. O0
-
Shaved BALD is the best look for you - - -You look great with the BALD DOME.
-
In Progress: I like the shaved look the best. You have a great shaved head for it.
Using witch hazel is a must. It really soothes the head after a good shave.
-
Trying out a #1 buzz... what do you think?
Shaved. Definitely.
-
Thanks guys. You inspired me to shave again. This time I rinsed my head with warm water for a touch up, and cold water at the end. It's smooth as glass... it feels like i never had any hair. I love it.
-
That looks better.
The smooth of a fresh head shave is really something.

Reason alone to get out of bed in the morning. I look forward to some HeadBlade action when I get up each day.
Keep up the good work !
-
It's a keeper for you O0
-
Thumbs up!
-
just keep it smooth, it looks good on you
-
You are inspirating for me.
-
That looks good, but I'll bet it feels great!
-
You are inspirating for me.
Lord Peich, just shave your head. Be inspired. I was. And I'm enjoying it.

-
Looks good man!

I stumbled across this one and thought it was worth bumping up again.
I'm seeing now that people's responses to my hair reflect much more on them than they do on me. That can be hard to see in the moment.

Well said, In Progress....Hope you are still shaved, you look good with it.
-
In Progress you look great with that second picture. Yes the key is the very warm water to set it up for shaving and the cold rinse afterward feels great. It gets easier and with sharp blades and good preparation you will look great. Try some Headlube glossy if you want to get a great shine to stand out. Keep it up.
