I really feel the need to say that this is a really great site and everyone here rocks.
I have loved reading the posts and there are some posts I can really relate to myself. Especially one I read about self confidence and anxiety.
Although a confident karate-ka I actually have an anxiety disorder. Martial Artists arent all violence, pain and fighting. Most of that is media hype. Mine is in fact Agoraphobia which came on from a long term medical condition caused by Glandular Fever.
I was really able to connect with one post on here and it is great people are able to share how they feel.
All I need now is to rustle up the balls to go sly without the present hang up I have thinking that I will look strange

I can tell that the look would suit you, Karate....
I envision you in that picture there with no hair.....and it would look better IMO.
-
Karatedragon, go for it. It does after all grow back, besides as you have heard from honest opinions here, it's going to look great.
-
I can already tell that it will look fine on you... DO IT!!!!! If it is not what you wanted just grow it back!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I agree, i think you'll look good bald and sly...you think you've got feelings and thoughts you want to talk about and share now...wait until you're sly brother!
You'll know what i mean when you ditch the hair!
Take care, our soon to be sly brother!

Welcome Karatedragon. Going SLY is a great confidence builder. Us newbees have a very noticeable attitude change. Go for it.

Honorable Karate. Do it. As you know, Buddhism teaches that pain will disappear if one annihilates tanha. Your craving for a full head of hair cannot be fulfilled. If you crave it, you will only bring on misery. The Stoics also taught apatheia, learning to accept what nature (phusis) decrees. The perfectly bald head says many things: honesty, realism, humility, and being in sync with nature. The discipline you practice almost obliges you to consider head shaving. Peace, Professor Melon

it is isn't it blondeguy and you look well kewl as a SBG

KarateDragon i agree with the rest of the fellow members a shaved head would suit you, but if the lack of hair might bother you why not just get it close crop cut at first ya know baby step your way down and see how it feels at each level. Like it was mentioned earlier hair can grow back, but theirs courage and honor attained in seeking the unknown so be brave and try new things.
-
Go for it karatedragon, the only thing you will lose is some hair, which will grow back.

Like other comments! Cut it close! Then go SLy!
